Operating from Coarsegold, California, a small Sierra Nevada town not far from Yosemite National Park, David Malcolm has been designing and manufacturing high-efficiency nozzles (known as FCI nozzles) for agricultural and golf course sprinkler irrigation for the past 15 years.

Read about how Inventor David Malcolm used his knowledge of agricultural technology to invent this shower head:
Using nozzle manufacturing techniques that are similar to those developed for the FCI sprinkler nozzles, David Malcolm began working on a special hose end nozzle for hand watering golf course greens in 2004.
This gave the golf green irrigator a tool never before available: a nozzle that does not plug, yet is capable of rapidly applying just the right amount of water without damaging the turf, moving seed, or quickly saturating the soil.
Because the FCS devices have their roots in agricultural technology, showerhead users will see virtual elimination of plugging problems, which are common with water-saving, low flow plumbing fixtures. "An irrigation device better not plug," says Malcolm. "Our approach all along is that we can use agricultural technology to produce a better product for homes and institutions."
