I purchased one a number of years ago and have been happy with it. We are remodeling our master bath now, so I just purchased a new one for it, to be installed in 4 weeks.

I was skeptical about the reviews I had read, but found multiple sources claiming these showerheads work great. My former, plastic head, was falling apart and leaking everywhere so I decided to give High Sierra a try. It definitely feels like a rain shower and does an excellent job washing the suds out of my hair. I was more concerned that it was going to feel like one of those beach showerheads that’s like little needles stinging your body. It was nothing like those. I have only had it for about 3 weeks, but I love the control flow button (so I don’t have to readjust my temperature when lathering or shaving) and it works as advertised. The product was solid/heavy and makes me feel like it’s construction will last a lifetime. I’m very happy with my purchase.

Very good flow even with my old house’s low water pressure. I like the trickle valve so I don’t waste water while shampooing or soaping up.

I first tried the 2.0 gpm showerhead – and with the trickle valve less than 1/2 open, there was plenty of water and plenty of pressure to rinse hair clean, and it was so comfortable. Then I tried the 1.5 gpm showerhead, and still, even with the trickly valve only 1/2 way open, there was plenty of volume and pressure to rinse hair, and still it was an extremely comfortable shower. So then I tried the 1.25 gpm shower head – and again, there’s plenty of volume and pressure, and still I have the trickle valve only part way open (but more open than when I tried the 2.0 gpm and 1.8 gpm showerheads). My understanding is there are only 2 manufacturers that offer a 1.25 gpm showerhead, and the design of the High Sierra showerhead produces a very comfortable shower. I recommend the 1.25 gpm showerhead. Customer service is excellent, and the folks at High Sierra went out of their way to help me.
More code authorities and jurisdictions should require 1.5 gpm or less showerheads. More architects and mechanical engineers should specify High Sierra 1.25 gpm showerheads. The potential water and energy savings are enormous.
