All BrassTrickle Valve For Shower Heads. For Pause & Pressure ControlEasy to Push Button Reduces The Flow of Water or Shuts It Off to Just a Trickle. Extended Length Hides Shower Arm Threads for a more Attractive and Seamless Appearance

Original price was: $16.19.Current price is: $12.95.

Product Description

Our solid metal trickle valves make it easy to pause the flow of water during your shower without adjusting the hot/cold mixing valve. It can also be used to slightly reduce water pressure for a gentler showering experience.

When closed, the trickle valve is designed to flow a small, continuous trickle of water – IT IS NOT A SHUT-OFF VALVE. This controlled trickle is required by plumbing codes to prevent scalding when the hot/cold water valve is reopened, and to remind users that the mixing valve remains active. Leaving water pipes, fittings, and hoses pressurized after the shower can lead to leaks; the trickle feature helps avoid that by reminding the user to close the mixing valve. Designed by an engineer who specializes in hydraulic performance, this valve offers a large internal water passage to minimize pressure loss, and a smooth push-button mechanism that’s easy to open and close.

Product Features

  • Extended length hides shower arm threads for a more attractive and seamless appearance.
  • PUSH-BUTTON TRICKLE VALVE — Easy to push button can be used to reduce the flow of water or shut it off to just a trickle. Also known as “Navy Showers” this device is ideal for saving water and energy.
  • LARGE DIAMETER WATER PASSAGEWAY — Minimal pressure loss. NOTE: to comply with US plumbing codes, the trickle valves will flow a minimal 0.05 GPM to prevent scalding when in the off position.
  • All METAL CONSTRUCTION — BUILT TO LAST! Quickly connects to ½” shower arms and shower heads. Seals against leaks on a thick rubber washer. NO TEFLON TAPE REQUIRED!

Flow Rate or Gallons Per Minute (GPM)

GPM is the amount of water the shower head uses.
For example: A 1.5 GPM shower head uses 1.5 gallons of water per minute.

High Sierra® offers 5 satisfying flow rates:

1.25 GPM – For those wanting the maximum amount of water savings. Usually recommended for handhelds or applications where the spray is close to your body. The majority of our customers do not choose this flow rate for standard fixed shower head installations.

1.5 GPM – For those wanting to maximize water and energy savings without having to sacrifice performance. Consistently rated as equal or better than 2.5 GPM conventional shower heads. Our #1 selling flow rate.

1.8 GPM – Uses a little more water than the 1.5 GPM models but produces even larger droplets. Superior rinsing capability makes this flow rate ideal for those with extremely thick hair. Especially recommended for shower arms over 6.5′.

2.0 GPM – Uses more water than all of our other flow rates but is still considered a water conservation shower head. The exceptionally large and heavy droplets are reminiscent of shower head performance predating government mandates. Especially recommended for shower arms over 6.5′ or ceiling mounts.

2.5 GPM – Established by the Federal Government in 1992 as the maximum flow rate per shower head allowed in the USA. Today, the federal mandate continues; however, 2.5 gpm is no longer considered to be “low flow”.
