WHAT DOES THE LONG NUT DO DIFFERENTLY?

Male threads on shower arms vary in length from manufacturer to manufacturer. In some cases, after installation of the showerhead, a significant portion of the shower arm threads remains exposed, which can look unsightly. The HALF DOME LONG NUT is longer than our standard nut and is specifically designed to COVER  EXPOSED THREADS, creating a cleaner and more visually appealing connection between the shower arm and shower. Only compatible with shower arms made of THREADED TUBING. THE HALF DOME® is High Sierra’s version of a “rain-style” shower head. It delivers a full cone cascade of heavy droplets, identical to that of the Classics™, but its unique shape and larger diameter offer a more visually striking and LUXURIOUS appearance when mounted onto 45° and 90° SHOWER ARMS, CEILINGS, OR INSIDE LARGE SHOWER STALLS. EASILY CONNECTS TO SHOWER ARMS, EXTENSIONS, FILTERS, etc with UNIVERSAL ½” – 14 NPS or NPT MALE THREADS SIZE. Total NUT LENGTH: 1.10” NO TEFLON TAPE REQUIRED! Like the Classics™, the Half Dome® has evolved significantly since its introduction. Today its optimized spray pattern dramatically reduces overspray, keeping the spray face drier while enhancing the overall shower experience. Additionally, limescale buildup has been greatly reduced making the Half Dome easier to clean and maintain.
