Our solid metal trickle valves make it easy to pause the flow of water during your shower without adjusting the hot/cold mixing valve. It can also be used to slightly reduce water pressure for a gentler showering experience.
When closed, the trickle valve is designed to flow a small, continuous trickle of water – IT IS NOT A SHUT-OFF VALVE. This controlled trickle is required by plumbing codes to prevent scalding when the hot/cold water valve is reopened, and to remind users that the mixing valve remains active. Leaving water pipes, fittings, and hoses pressurized after the shower can lead to leaks; the trickle feature helps avoid that by reminding the user to close the mixing valve. Designed by an engineer who specializes in hydraulic performance, this valve offers a large internal water passage to minimize pressure loss, and a smooth push-button mechanism that’s easy to open and close.

Best shower shut off I’ve ever used, and living on a yacht for 40 years 7 vacationing on an RV for 10, I’ve used a lot! The push button is much easier to use then a lever (which you struggle with when your hands are soapy). And you can still find a middle spot where you have enough water, but not full flow.
No matter what you hear, it’s been my long experience that no shower pause control is going to be completely drip free. And I am not convinced any municipality has a “plumbing code” that requires them to drip.
