Originally bought the 1.5 gpm head but it didn’t have the pressure we are accustomed to. I spoke David and he recommended the 1.8 gpm has. He sent me the parts to convert my 1.5 to a 1.8 and we love it now. Great USA made showerhead.
Darren Kloomok (verified owner) –
Looks simple, but delivers a great stream of water. Beats the one I replaced by many GPM

My previous shower head was old and had turned to a trickle. I assumed there was something wrong with the pipes, but figured I’d try to install a new shower head myself to see if I could solve the problem. Boy, am I glad I did! I bought the classic 1.5GPM and it was a game changer! First, the install directions were spot on. I’m not very handy, but with a little WD-40 and a wrench, I removed the old shower head and replaced it my new High Sierra shower head. The change in water pressure and stream was phenomenal. I now want to change all my shower heads to High Sierra! Plus, it saved me from paying for a plumber to come out and tell me I just needed to change my shower head. I highly recommend this shower head.

I bought 2 High Sierra Shower Heads – a 1.5 GPM AND a 1.25 GPM… Both are fantastic and you get a great shower experience using 40 to 50 percent less water / sewer / natural gas or electric for hot water!!! I recommend the 1.5 GPM shower heads from High Sierra – your shower experience will be equivalent to a regular 2.5 GPM shower head – and you will save 40 percent on utility costs. I’ve tried competitors 1.75 and 2.0 GPM shower heads and they don’t stack up. Again, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the 1.5 GPM High Sierra shower heads – you will not be disappointed!! They are a little pricey, but totally worth it!!! I am a very fussy and particular person and I strongly recommend the 1.5 GPM shower heads from High Sierra.
Saverio (verified owner) –
I recently installed the 1.25 GPM shower head. It is fantastic, with plenty of volume and a nice spray. I was a bit concerned about ordering a new shower head with such low water consumption rate, but I’m glad that I did. Highly recommended.
Dan R. (verified owner) –
I chose the 1.25 gpm head. The old shower head I was replacing was a 2.5 gpm head with a circumference of about a foot. This unit from High Sierra is VERY compact and I was skeptical when I received it. It has not disappointed at all. A couple things from this buyer that influence my personal review. It is a major plus that these are made in the USA, and the second thing is the money I have saved in both water use and water heat. Neither of those things will make you a millionaire, but they play a role in my satisfaction. If neither of those things matter to you I would advise going with another box store shower head. But I would absolutely recommend this product to anyone. This reviewer loves it.

Love it, look good with big drops.

This is a wonderful design! Recently, we reduced our water pressure from 100psi to 80psi. Suddenly, our showers seemed like a sprinkle of water. This unit is better than the old shower head at 100psi!

(1.8) Feels really good, truly does feel better than a standard shower head. It is powerful enough to push soap etc off my legs unlike others.

We were so impressed with the 1.25 gpm shower head, we bought another for our daughter’s shower. She is handicapped in a wheelchair and has to use a shower chair, so a hand held shower is a must. We purchased the hose, hand held unit and trickle valve with the 1.25 gpm head. I didn’t tell her when I installed it. When she took her first shower with it, the response was worth every penny. She said it didn’t spray everywhere like the old one and made rinsing her hair a lot easier without spraying in her eyes. So if you or anyone in your household is handicapped, this is the setup you need to make showering easier. Thank you High Sierra for making our handicapped daughter’s showers easier.

What sorcery is this? The 5.7L HS classic is “wetter” than a standard 9L/min head it replaced hete in Australia. To wok here all I needed was a 1/2 in NPT male to1/2 in BSP female adapter off ebay. This brilliant High Sierra shower head will save me thousands in hot water heating costs over its lifetime. Wow. Beautiful. Thank you.

I used to dread getting in our shower and now I look forward to it! This tiny shower head provides great pressure and my husband didn’t believe me when I said it was low flow. Happy to know I’m doing something to help with conservation and happy to enjoy showers again. Highly recommend!
Suzanne (verified owner) –
Bought 1.5 gpm. Soooo much power! Need trickle valve on one of them because so powerful. have recommended your shower heads to many people.
Steve S (verified owner) –
Bought the 1.5 head for our small camper as an upgrade, we have small freshwater tank so water usage really needs to be managed.
Decided to move to the 1.25, tested at home and it was good and just didn’t have a ‘full’ feeling. Moved the 1.5 in-house and I could feel a difference (more of an ‘ahh’ feeling). The 1.25 is definitely adequate and enjoyable; just more of a true minimalist setup. We’ll still get a decent shower w/less water in the camper)

1.5 GPM version was just purchased. impressed by the quality of the product. works very well!
David P –
Love the look and quality of my new 1.5gpm shower head. Much better than the old 2.5gpm shower.
David P –
Love the new 1.5gpm shower. Feels better than the old 2.5. standard head.
Will order another hand held.
Phil –
We love this small but mighty shower head! The 1.25 GPM version has plenty of pressure and provides a nice spray. On top of all the water savings, I am looking forward to easier maintenance. Our old shower head was a nightmare to keep clean with constant lime/mineral deposits on all the nozzles. An excellent product from a great company!

Love it, best one out there!

Easy to install and fun to stand under….so I bought another for a second shower in my home, only this time one that has a trickle valve. The fact I am conserving water in California makes me a very happy woman.
Andrew –
I was worried about it giving a stinging sensation similar to a yard sprinkler since it doesn’t deliver water in multiple streams like other shower heads. It succeeds in the promise of delivering large droplets that feel more aggressive but still soothing. For the price, it is an amazing showerhead with great spray. It is one of the only lead free products you can buy. Other then lack luster looks I would recommend this to most buyers since shower heads that would compete with this one would cost over 125$.
John P –
We have 3 full bathrooms in our house and I’ve installed a classic 1.25 gpm High Sierra Fixed Showerhead in each one. They provide plenty of water output so I don’t know anyone would ever need to purchase a head with a higher flow rate. When buying, I also highly recommend purchasing one with the optional trickle valve. I wasn’t sure at first if this would be a necessary addition but now that I’ve been able to try it out I’ve found that it is a really nice feature. I enjoy being able to toggle down the flow rate even further if desired. I like to partially engage the trickle valve to approximately 1/4th of the way on and find that this provides a gentler, less noisy flow, but still gives plenty of water to effectively shower – and saves even more water!
Jim (verified owner) –
I own several on a large property. They provide a really satisfying low flow spray and don’t clog up with mineral. We are on our own water and very occasionally I have had to unscrew one when a big chunk gets caught in the on/off slider. Solid metal, beautiful finish, really satisfying product.
Rochelle Weiner (verified owner) –
This is our 2nd High Sierra shower head — the first was a dome rain shower head, and now this simple, but powerful, shower head. We bought the 1.5 GPM version, and cannot imagine what the higher GPMs are like, since this gives out a terrific ‘shpritz”. We gave up a fancy Grohe device for High Sierra, and couldn’t be happier.

I bought the Classic 1.8 gpm shower head with a trickle valve. It has been a revelation! I am now using no more than 30% as much water per shower as I had been using with my conventional shower head. I reduce the water flow to a trickle when I am soaping up and scrubbing, then turn it up to about 1.0 gpm when I am rinsing or soaking. The head design is so efficient that even at only 1 gpm, it never feels like the flow is inadequate. If I want a blast of water when I first step into the shower in the morning, I open it all the way to 1.8 gpm. It leaves nothing to be desired. Because of the drought in my area, I’ve been telling my friends about this remarkable shower head. After I owned this shower head for a few months, I bought a second one for my other bathroom. I hope this design becomes the norm in the water-conserving times ahead. If you need a new or better shower head, get one of these!
Jim Vaughn (verified owner) –
I bought the 1.5gpm shower head about a year ago. That one was absolutely fine – nothing at all wrong with it. When the 1.25gpm shower head went on sale, the price was low enough I thought I’d give it a try. They are both great, I’m sticking with the 1.25 – it’s more than adequate.
This shower head, coupled with a new Rinnai tankless water heater (the 20 year old Takagi wasn’t as efficient), has cut the gas bill in half during non-heating season months.
Thank you for a very well made product that works as advertised.
R Alder –
Love this, we bought the 1.25 Gallon shower head and we are saving a ton of water, water heating, and dehumidifying our bathroom after showers. And I actually prefer the shower this gives to our older higher flow head.
Phil –
Great shower head. It uses less water per minute but doesn’t feel very different from the regular shower heads. Also, I love the added button to stop/start/reduce the flow of water. It’s been working out great. (And the delivery was surprisingly fast.)
Anonymous –
So far so good. My sister is the manager at a very larger plumbing supply store, I told her about your stuff.
Phil E. (verified owner) –
2-minute installation with a wrench. Quality all-metal construction. 1.8gpm doesn’t feel like it’s water-efficient with it’s generous flow, but I trust it’s saving water! The water droplets are indeed large as stated, and it’s creates a nice effect. Not abrasive as with high-pressure jets, but substantial, so it’s easy to quickly get the job done in the mornings without standing in the shower for too long. The showerhead pivots far enough in every direction to get the water going where you need it to, and it stays in place. If practicality is important to you, then this ticks all the boxes.
Jim G –
Fast delivery. Very reasonable price for the quality. I looked and looked for a quality shower head made in the USA. I found it. Worth the price and will recommend to anyone looking for a shower head made in the USA. The shower is great.

I recently installed the 1.5 gpm showerhead. I love it! So much more enjoyable than my former 1.8 gpm. It feels like the full flow, “real” showers of yesteryear!
Aaron Muir Hamilton (verified owner) –
1.25gpm doesnt seem like a lot, but it’s plenty with this design; I think it could probably work with even less.
Way better showering experience than my previous 2.5gpm head. The trickle valve works a treat, and can be set half-way for a middle ground between trickling and showering.
I used a pliers-wrench to install it; took just a couple minutes and it didn’t scuff or scratch.
Tom Johnson (verified owner) –
Excellent product and customer service! Well-made, simple design..I’d expect this product to last for decades. And, Made in

A simple, solid piece of engineering. Works perfectly.
Brian (verified owner) –
I had purchased one of these about 8 months ago to see how I would like the 1.5 gpm flow. I do not notice any difference while shower from my older 2.5 gpm flow shower head, but I do notice that there is less water building up on the shower pan and flowing down the drain. It does produce a little more noise but much. I have since purchased a second one of these shower heads for my other bathroom. I also like the metal construction.

I’m glad I found High Sierra and have started recommending to friends.
The pipes in our house need to be replaced and probably the municipal water isn’t the greatest. It isn’t uncommon for us to have to replace showerheads every so often which is all too easy to do. Showerheads from big box stores are cheap and inexpensive; the materials used in their construction reflect that. This isn’t the case with High Sierra products. We also bought an adjustable extension and I’m certain these are going to last us a long while. I opted for an included trickle valve and it’s very convenient, my water usage has dropped significantly. So glad I stumbled onto High Sierra while looking beyond Home Depot for a new showerhead. Win-win.

I ordered a second Classic WaterSense 1.8 gpm with the trickle valve for the other bath because I liked the way it looks and the feel of the spray. Mainly I like having the trickle valve, because it makes me mindful while showering by letting me lather up and not waste water.
Craig Siefkas –
I bought a ‘low flow’ shower head in the early 1990’s, 2.5gpm and sprayed in a cone. I checked onto a Navy Cruiser, and one our berthings four showers was missing a shower head. I put my nearly new one on and found I couldn’t use it because everyone else liked it also. Wound up getting two more. I’ve been using that same shower head for thirty years, but the rubber gasket finally started deteriorating. In searching for a replacement gasket, I came across these High Sierra shower heads. I got a 1.5 gpm and found it does NOT spray in a cone. It is not a bad pattern, but not like the one I’ve used for thirty plus years. The pattern is narrower, the droplets seem to be larger, and the spray not as cutting but what I personally feel is too much flow. I was talking to my brother, a greens-keeper, and he sent me a picture of one of the golf course hose nozzles they use to water greens. I sent him my 1.5 gpm and ordered a 1.25 gpm with the shut-off. To be honest, without the label and nozzle color I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between the two as far as flow and pattern go. I had become quite adept at taking my old shower head apart to remove scale and replace o-rings, will be nice to not have to do that with this one.
Some things of note: the head will ‘flop’ if it isn’t tightened on the shower arm adequately, and too tight means the head is quite difficult to adjust.
The head is several inches long, about twice the length of my old cone type — If I ever redo the shower, I will raise the shower arm at least a few inches higher.
Cost: This head is pricy — but I wouldn’t have bought two if I didn’t think it was worth it. Almost every component is made in the U.S.A. and it is worth it to support my neighbors and save water. Also, as I mentioned the rubber gasket giving out, I asked that they send a spare gasket along, which they did with no issues. I really appreciate that service.

Excellent product that works great and saves water! I bought the Classic 1.5 shower heads . There was a mix up in the order and the customer service I received was great. We are completely satisfied customers and will buy again from this company.

Man, these shower heads are GREAT! I installed them in about 5 minutes, each. Very easy. They look better than those flying-saucer types everybody is selling. Very sleek & sexy. And they work absolutely as advertised! I actually take shorter showers now. My wife likes hers & we’re very happy. And made here, for the most part. I’ll recommend them to anyone!
John M (verified owner) –
I’ve tried low flow showerheads in the past and they’ve been disappointing to say the least. As my water rate keeps getting higher, I decided to try again and found High Sierra’s product. The fact that it’s mostly made in the USA added to my interest. I didn’t test the flow rate after I installed it so I can’t attest to how close it is to 1.5 GPM but as a shower head, it works great. So much so, I ordered another on in polished brass to go with the plumbing in a second bathroom and will soon be ordering two more of them.

Due to water restrictions in NorCal we purchased the 1.5 GPM shower head with the trickle toggle. We are very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a way to conserve some water.

This showerhead is AWESOME. I live in a 1950s apartment building in DC. We are lucky to have good water pressure, but the showerhead I had before was sad. Purchased this at 2.0 gpm–it is a totally different experience. Honestly, the best shower I have ever had. Just buy it.

Have been a customer of this company’s products for ten+ years. Good, solid products and this one is the same. Saves water but provides a satisfying shower. Buy with confidence.
Kathy (verified owner) –
I’m not as pleased as I’d hoped. I chose 2GPM, and that was perhaps my mistake. The margins of shower spray are too uneven. When I try to rinse my face, it wets my hair in random places. The spray is comfortable and I feel it does a good job when rinsing my washed hair, but the random spray edges is a bother. I will keep the shower head, as it’s very well made. But, I’ll put it on my outdoor shower instead.
Roy Mingus (verified owner) –
Exceeds expectations! This is an metal so many shower heads are plastic. Our house has plastic water pipes so it is low water pressure. This shower head is a perfect fit. I bought this shower head because I was watching Youtube channel Life Uncontained and they were installing one in their shower. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qT4nO_nBd8c

I was looking online for water saving shower heads for my house built in the 1850’s, and since I was using well water and had limited water pressure, was not looking for water saving aeration models. My research led me to the High Sierra brand and I ordered one for my basement where I showered, and a second hand held model for my elderly mother on the first floor shower. I recently ordered a third HS model for the second floor shower that is for campers and RV’s. The engineer that designed these High Sierra models is a genius and deserves the patents and the profits that come come with great product design. There are models and finishes for every possible shower installation. High Sierra shower heads get my highest recommendation!
Sean W (verified owner) –
I bought this to replace a Niagara Conservation (1 GPM to 1.5GPM) shower head that died after four months of use. I did have to lower the volume of water coming out of the 1.25 GPM Sierra Showerhead due to the volume coming out being more than my small hot water heater (Tiny House) could make, but the pressure and spray pattern are amazing. I have the shower mixer set to 1/2 way and it provides plenty of pressure and hot water. Keep up the great work!
Also the shower head looks like a piece of art too, excellent machining.
Sarah –
I was blown away by the minimal packaging and the small size of the unit itself. The flow is great and I find that I have to mix in much more cold water to get the right temperature so I am not only using less water but also less hot water. I love this product and this company!
Madonna (verified owner) –
I used this showerhead to replace a large conventional showerhead in my upstairs bathroom that was struggling to maintain strong water pressure. The High Sierra showerhead consistently delivers better pressure than the previous showerhead – and saves water at the same time!

Simply the best low volume shower head on the market. My wife andf I remodeled out bathroom and used matte black fixtures throughout. High Sierra painted the fixture matte black for me. Big thank you to High Sierrra

I replaced an old restricted flow shower head with a trickle valve because the trickle head was starting to fail. No matter which position the trickle valve was in a fine stream of water would spray, on the window curtain in the bathroom oror on the shower stall in tbe other direction. It was also partially plastic. My new shower head is brushed nickel with a high quality appearance. The spray is very even and the trickle valve has no leaks arround the fitting no matter the position. I am very pleased and would highly recommend this shower head.

Just got this today. Installed it and I’m pleasantly surprised at the size of the droplets. Very strong stream for a restricted flow shower head. I would;
l would highly recommend one of these to anyone.

Very happy with the showerhead!! The water pressure somehow seems better than our old 2.5 gal/min shower head. I was worried about prior commenters saying the product was noisy but I don’t find that the case at all.

After three attempts to find a shower head that would be appropriate for our small shower, we have finally found success with the High Sierra 1.5 model. It installed quickly and easily and has exceeded our expectations with a pleasant stream great for hair washing. A wonderful product!

Best on the market for the last 10 plus years that I have used them. I continue to buy for friends and the environment.
GTOCharlie –
Works great and saving on water use.
Katie –
Finally found this gem of a shower head. Although it lacks the individual beaded streams of water that a larger shower head would produce, the pressure is awesome and we’re not wasting a ton of water every time we take a shower. Does not disappoint.
SojuTX –
We went with the 2.0 GPM, and we both love it. The water comes out in a strong blast and the droplets are larger enough to retain their heat and drench us. Beautiful, modern look in brushed nickel. I can’t wait to take a shower everyday.
Michael R. –
I was a little shocked at how small this was when it arrived but when I turned it on, wow! It provides a very forceful stream of water that is just right for those who like a little more than the trickle usually associated with water efficient showers. In fact, sometimes its hard to believe that this one is! It is slightly louder than some other shower heads but not at a level that is really noticeable or bothersome. Would definitely recommend buying.
HP –
Smallest shower head I’ve head, but was amazed by the water pressure and even felt like it warmed up much quicker then other shower heads Ive had. Highly recommend this product.
Chino –
Love it! Precisely what I was looking for. Living +5000 ft. high, water pressure is diminished. The High Sierra solved the problem, taking a shower is like being under a waterfall!
Nivramelad –
I have tried many different shower heads this one here I love the way it feels standing under the water it’s just very relaxing
RLW01 –
The reviewers who spoke to low pressure and this unit — thanks! More than right. This replaced a 1.5 gpm that I installed in 2009; it needed more than a calcium clean – it needed newer technology. This has it in spades. We like invigorating showers; this delivers. We live in an old house with some 100 year old plumbing; this compensates for the lower pressure and then some. Don’t know its longevity; but for now, it’s just what we were hoping for.
Mark G. –
We live in an area prone to drought. Before installing this showerhead I was using an older showerhead which I had removed the limiter from. Great pressure but very wasteful of water. Now I get the best of both worlds. This showerhead which was the 1.8 GPM version puts out a ton of water pressure, without wasting water. (I will say that the 1.5 GPM version was a little less luxurious in terms of water flow.) I put this on a Delta extension arm, and it’s fabulous. Highly recommended if you want to save water without feeling like you’re standing in a trickle.
R. Spain –
Top quality material with a flow system that looks as though it could not clog. I am planning to use it for many years.

I just finished my first shower with this incredible little shower head. I have tried all the latest, greatest heads that claimed to save water without compromising a refreshing shower. Never, have I found a head that releases such a heavy flow of water and is actually saving a ton of water. My current 2.5 gpm head puts out a hard but somewhat stinging showers. This head feels like it is putting out 3 or 4 gpm. I almost feel guilty for wasting so much water but I actually saved gallons. Buy this or I will refund your money!
Amazon Customer –
When I purchased the shower head, I removed it from the package and it felt as if the ball that controls the angle of the showerhead was too loose but once I installed the showerhead, (which was very simple to do), the item works very nicely. We are on our own well, so the water pressure has been low. This item makes the water pressure much better. I would recommend this product to anyone.
Anne Gormley –
Very happy with the product and noticed a nice drop in our water/ oil bill.
Gulfcoastkimbo –
Amazing. Still can’t believe it’s only 1.5 gpm. We installed this in a vintage camper with a 6 gal water heater, and we have hot water for at least 5 minutes CONTINUOUS. In fact, quite a bit longer because we have to use the trickle valve to slow down the water pressure – it’s that good. No need to trickle while lathering. We have more than enough hot water to take a relaxed and comfortable shower, shampoo and all.
Paula J. KELLY –
If you want a low flow showerhead with force, look no further! I wanted to reduce use in order to save hot water in a large rental home. I received this shower head and ordered four more. High quality and super easy to install.
Flip flop lover –
Very happy with shower head. Easy to install and and it conserves water usage.
JayCee0055 –
High quality finish that doesn’t dull with multiple cleanings, good output that I have home tested and is accurate at 1.5 gpm. These are expensive shower heads, but they deliver as promised and provide an effective amount of water for bathing. Would recommend.
Eric Scherstrom –
Great pressure for low flow
Amazon Customer –
This is a great showerhead, especially for the price. It was exactly what I was looking for and exceeding expectations so far.
user1029 –
This shower head is small, looks and feels sturdy, was trivial to install, and works as advertised.I went from a 2.5gal adjustable (turn a screw to change pressure/spread) to this, and I feel like I get more drenched now even though I’m using less water. I think the spray is more concentrated; I feel like I’ve had to adjust settings for the hot water to be a little less hot.The shower head is a little noisier than the old one I had, but not enough to be a problem for me.
Hex –
This shower head is great! Reminds me of the shower heads they have at LA Fitness. I couldn’t believe my shower went from a gentle trickle to high pressure and it only uses 1.5 gps. I loved my rainfall showerhead but it used 2.5 gps. Anyway, it’s a good shower head but a little too pricy.
Amazon Customer –
Love the shower head. Great quality materials easy to install would definitely buy another one!!

After using a 2 gpm shower head, I had my doubts about a 1.5 gmp. After constantly cleaning the small holes in my ‘name brand’ head, I read about the unique design of this unit. As a mechanic, I just HAD to open it up to see the difference. The machining is as meticulous on the inside as the finish on the outside. Our well pump kicks on at 30 lbs. and off at 50 lbs. of pressure. You could feel the pressure change with the old head. With the High Sierra, the pressure is constant. After a shower the old head used to drip onto the tub spout below and leave water spots. When you turn the water off, the High Sierra empties with a short dribble and that’s it – no more drops. The ‘feel’ is more like a 2.5 gpm flow, but the stream going to the drain is MUCH smaller than before. I like that the spray pattern is more focused which makes for easier rinsing. One review complained of the spray being too intense and stinging. Well, perhaps with a sunburn – but I prefer to exit the shower feeling invigorated and refreshed, not just ‘wet’. The flow is not wimpy but it’s not a car wash nozzle either. The trickle valve lets you choose to reduce the flow all the way down to a true trickle. With a 220V well pump not kicking on as often, and a 220V water heater not having to heat as much water, the High Sierra will reduce the electricity usage. The shower head may be small, simple and seem a little expensive for its size until you consider the superb craftsmanship, water & electricity savings and how many prototypes they had to machine until this design was perfected. It IS unique. It IS different. But after the first shower, you’ll be sold on this High Sierra shower head. We’re getting another for the other bathroom, and telling family & friends about High Sierra. Really – it’s that good.
Amazon Customer –
This is by far the best shower head you can buy. I went from a light rain to a firehose. Love this!
Deb –
We have a well with plenty of pressure, however, it has a low recovery rate. We decided to give this a try, and WOW were we impressed! Comes out strong, and consistent. Has a pretty good pivoting radius. We did however decide to return the single unit and replaced with the same that included the hand wand and extension hose for ease of cleaning the tub and shower. This works the same with full pressure and flow.
anhoh –
I wanted to do my part to reduce fossil fuel and water use but I was skeptical of a low flow shower head as the ones years ago were terrible and not enough power to rinse soap off. I must say I am surprised and really pleased at how strong a flow of water comes out of this. It is more powerful than the kohler head my shower came with. Provides a perfect width spray and more than adequate to rinse hair and skin easily. I will not miss the normal shower heads at all. Some reviews said its “loud” – I am sensitive to noise and it is by no means loud. Its slightly more sound than a regular shower but nothing disturbing in any way. Really well designed, solid piece of plumbing. Buy it and save on heating and water bills.
RAZ –
Best shower head ever! Save money and it feels so good. I use to hate long showers. Now, I can easily spend hours showering. It feels so good in your skin too! Cons, if you are not a fan of loud-ish showers then this might be for you. I don’t mind, and it’s well forth the mild increase in loudness this little shower head gives in comparison to amazing shower you will get!
toni m foster –
When it arrived I was quite skeptical because it is so small. After it was installed, I was so happy with the pressure from this small shower head. It is so much better than my old one. I recommend it to all who want a great shower experience.
Realist –
Best shower head ever used, unfortunately would not work with my unusual circumstances
Joshua M. Moore –
This showerhead is amazing for 1.5 GPH. The flow is really nice.
Amazon Customer –
Unlike most water saving shower heads that either produce a very misty spray or a very week trickle of water, the High Sierra’s High Efficiency Low Flow Showerhead provides a concentrated stream that feels fabulous and at the same time allows you to rinse soap off easily. I was worried that a 1.8 gpm flow would be too low to do a good job, but I was wrong. It does a fantastic job and the shower experience is great. Even for folks who don’t care about conserving water would like this shower head. Highly recommend this product for all showers .
Mac –
I like that this head uses only 1.5 gpm of water. It gives a really strong stream of water.
Cjbat –
Good overall. The 4 was the material didn’t seem as heavy duty as I would like and the spray pattern was not able to be adjusted (or perhaps I missed something).
Peter V –
I like the simple elegance of this shower head. The shower experience is pretty good too. Even with the faucet only half open, I get a good, soaking shower. It feels like a soft rainfall w big drops.I feel like it’s saving lots of water, especially when we keep the faucet half open.
Bratman –
Just need to narrow the spray
BDS –
This is small but is wonderful!! So much nicer than ones which all the holes. Feels like a waterfall. Excellent pressure.
SLP123 –
Much stronger spray than expected. Hot water lasts so much longer. I’m going to get the 1.5 for our other bathroom.
Amazon Customer –
Good pressure
ron m –
The whole family loves this shower head great pressure large and powerful spray pattern all at 1.5gpm awesome
Long Beach CA –
Don’t know what else you could want at 1.5gpm. We just bought a second of these for another bathroom.
Amazon Customer –
I’ve never spent $50 on a shower head before so I read the reviews and researched. It works as promised. Better pressure than my 2.5 and while saving 1 GPM, this will pay for itself. All metal, can feel the quality.

The Professor –
We have a septic tank and need to limit our water usage. I bought two of these heads for our two showers. They are not a luxurious stream like the heads we have, but they sure seem to save water. The water they provide is more than ample for showering.
Bruce –
Shower head works quite well. Water comes out under good pressure in a cone shaped pattern
A. Fabricant –
this is our second one. We also put one in our vacation home in Ct. It is an awesome spray and you can even see the drops…large drops like you would not believe. And only 1.5GPM and it feels like it is 3.0GPM. It is amazing and installs in minutes without tape unless you have a real bad pipe and then you can use tape. I hope everyone gets one because it is the only one made that I am aware of that has this force of water so that you do not have to turn your water valve wide open.
Alex T. –
Great flow (got the 1.8 GPM flow rate), super easy to install, good nozzle mobility, made in USA!
Jim Anthony –
I couldn’t believe that the flow was just 2 GPM because it seems like a lot more, so I tested it with a stopwatch and gallon bottle. Yup, right at 2 GPM. A little pricey, but well worth the cost because of the design, quality, and water savings.
outlaw1 –
Was concerned before purchase about water pressure. It’s not an issue for us. I now own 2 of these. I just wish they were a little cheaper.
michael sullivan –
The water flow for a 1.5GPM shower head is very good and the trickle valve makes it easy to stop the flow while lathering up. I’m glad I changed over from the cheaper low flow shower head I had before.
Ryan –
Been working great for many years! Love it.
Mark A. Box –
Very well made and solid shower head. Was so impressed with the quality of this product I purchased another for our other bathroom. Highly recommended for savings on your utility bills.
Collin –
My family’s lived with this low-flow showerhead for over a year. It’s simply amazing how well it works while using only 1.5 gallons per minute. I tested the flow rate and found 1.5 gpm is accurate. No complaints at all from family, a big surprise. The way the water flows is as effective as anything at getting shampoo out of long hair. It’s made in USA by a California company and local machine shop. The materials have held up well. My area had moderately hard water. No clogs, minimal scaling. Save yourself the cost of water, the energy used to heat hot water and the energy used to bring potable water to your home. This is the real deal. I recommend it on commercial building projects.
mark –
nice
John C. –
Like the quality, easy install, best size for my tub’s shower with good flow. Combined with a shower shut off valve, in matching finish, no leaks, just hand tight.
Roy Hobbs –
Ordered the 1.8 and it works exactly as advertised. Only reason it is not 5 stars is that we have to reduce the water flow in order to remove the high pitch whine. The good thing is that barely affects the great flow of this shower head.
Byron B. –
Saves water and creates a strong mist when using. One thing I noticed is because there is a mist, the heat is diffused and I do tend to turn up the water heat a little more.
Ron K –
The goal was a good, strong, spray while reducing the total water volume used. This does that.Pros:- good, strong, spray- significant reduction in water volume- straightforward install- solid metal constructionCons:- pricey- spray generates a low volume spray outside the intended core stream, so it puts water around more widely at the nozzle than a traditional shower head. You get wet reaching around the main spray stream and areas above the shower head get wet. Work around is to aim the shower head down more than the prior shower head.
Amazon Customer –
I love this shower head, it really saves water, & still has a powerful spray.
Tcart driver –
Beautifully made and provides a decent shower on 1.5 gpm. It is expensive but worth it to me.
C. D. Waage –
This is a great product. It feels pretty much just like a regular shower. I didn’t notice that it was harder to shower or that I got a lower quality rinse. I did notice that there was almost no water going down the drain. It was shocking how little water drains out which means it’s using a lot less water. The only thing that kept it from getting five stars is that it looks sort of like a simple hotel showerhead. My lady friends would be happier with a fancier looking showerhead.
Krista Malone –
This showerhead puts out a tremendous stream yet also saves a ton of water. It can be a little rough, but I like that.
Cynthia A. Springford –
We ordered this low flow shower head to save on the amount of water we are using. My husband installed it easily in minutes. The water pressure exceeded our expectations. I think it is even better than our old showerhead. It’s only been a few days, but we’re looking forward to being more efficient and reaping the benefits of conserving water.
M. Brown –
This shower head gives great showers, but uses much less water. The valve that allows you to turn the water to a trickle while you soap up is especially helpful.
Jose Moran –
Absolutely love this shower head so far. I also love saving money which this shower head is helping me do. Highly recommend this shower head to anyone browsing these reviews. Upon opening the box you will know right away this is a high quality product.
Kevin B Holbrook –
AMAZING!!!!!! Twice the pressure of my old 2.5gpm shower head !! Great pattern, doesn,t wet my floor when the door is opened . Buy this one , it IS worth the extra money !!!!!!
bigbear2592 –
I like the amount of water I save and yet have enough water pressure for a proper shower. I bought four shower heads for all of my four showers.
Amazon Customer –
Finally a shower head that doesn’t clog!
runnz –
I thought I was buying a puny 1.5gpm showerhead to save water. This thing is far more enjoyable than any 2.5gpm I’ve ever experienced……….what a pleasure. It’s very well crafted, solid metal, heavy in your hand. Installs in 2 minutes.
LT –
Great shower head! Very powerful!
Jeffrey C. –
The best lower flow head.
Joseph T. Thering –
I, like many other people who reviewed this product, thought I received the wrong model with a much higher flow rate. I’m still incredulous, so I’ll be conducting a test but it’s the most satisfying shower head I’ve used, regardless of efficiency.Key things to note:1. It has very consistent coverage so you spend less time waiting for the water to be effective, which is common for many low-flow heads. Shorter shower.2. It is not one of those high pressure/mist types. It does not sting and does not create a cold mist, causing you to crank up the hot water to compensate. Less heating of water.3. It seems like a lot more water is flowing through it that there really is.
John C. Petrovato –
This is a really awesome showerhead. Not only does it use less water than traditional heads, but it appears to have much stronger pressure. Perhaps not for everyone as the stream is kind of chaotic bursts – but I love the way it feels.
David –
After reading many glowing reviews, I figured I’d give the shower head a shot. I was skeptical about it when I received it because it is rather small, and looked like a no frills inexpensive piece. In 5 minutes my mind was changed, the spray pattern was wide with tremendous pressure. It replaced a Delta rain fall shower head, and I am never going back.
mjo41232 –
A little tough shelling out the money on one of these but these are hands down the best low flow shower heads. You won’t notice much of a difference compared to a standard one. It is a little noisier than a standard head but the water savings is well worth it. Fit and finish on this are very precise and high quality. I’m using this with a dual head setup. The fixed head is using this with a wand using a standard head.
karen3678 –
Works great and saves water so…… only real downside is the cost. A bit pricey. Easy to install. Remove other head and screw this one on.
Amazon Customer –
Super shower head. Best I have ever used.
Chris –
Its hard to review this when coming from a regular shower head. It seems to save water and the pressure was much better than another head we tried. Worth the money overall.
wawiii –
I grew up in an old house, with terrible water pressure. I never knew the value of a good daily shower till I moved out. Consequently, I always dreaded visiting home for any extended period of time due to the terrible showers. More recently, I took to buying a number of different shower heads to remedy the issue. This is the only one that produced a noticeable improvement. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good low flow head, or to anyone dealing with terrible water pressure/flow.
Jim$ter –
Get the 1.5 shower-head and be prepared to be amazed whether you have low or high pressure this thing kicks butt. I was worried because my GF has massive hair and needs a lot of pressure/water to rinse it out. I went from a 2.5 rain shower-head to this 1.5 shower-head and this thing beats it by a mile. I don’t know how they designed this thing but its amazing!! Just buy this thing now and be prepared to love your shower again!
PJ –
Very solid, heavyweight shower head. Tested and it flowed precisely 1.5 gallons in 60 seconds. The spay pattern makes very good use of that 1.5 gpm – doesn’t feel any different than our old 2.5 gpm shower head. It is a very full pattern with heavy spray – doesn’t feel like a fine mist or anything like that. Easily gets soap out of long hair. No residual dripping after it has been shut off. Definitely would buy again.
FunkIE –
What can I say I was leery about spending the 40 bucks. And since I live in California I had to get the 1.8 GPM. This little beauty is well worth it! If you look inside there’s a modification to be had then it’s magic!
phil –
Just the weight while holding this nozzle in your hand tells you it’s rock solid. Easy to install and it evenly spreads the water for great coverage. A quality product.
JD758 –
Nice product
Daniel R Smith –
Real nice spray, works as expected, should save lots of money on the water bill.
Vance Berreth –
Bought to save water, reviewed because I like love the spray! The spray is somewhat of a fine mist, yet has 0 problem rinsing. This is a tried and true design.
Sue –
Love it this far. Hoping to save water, and $ on water bill.
Kelley Hershey –
plenty of pressure and allows hot water to be turned back.
bhigdog –
Excellent quality
Human man –
Great quality, and very substantial construction.

I’ve been doing testing on a number of showerheads as part of an energy savings project and thus far this one’s the clear winner. I did have issues with my first one that was running at around 1.7GPM, but they sent a free replacement that hit’s 1.5GPM EXACTLY…which is slightly suspicious, especially because I spoke with them about it being for a larger project over the phone before they sent the replacement. Either way, new one is essentially perfect. I did notice a few drips coming from the ball joint, but nothing that really worries me.Components are solid metal for the most part, and there are only a few of them, so this thing should be about as durable as these things get. The pressure at the nozzle is higher than even the 2.5GPM head I tested and I’ve heard no complaints of being able to wash thick hair, which is the only 1.5GPM unit I can say that about. Yes, the price is a little high compared to other ones, but due to the construction you likely won’t have to replace it, or clean it for a very, very long time. That mixed with the fact that you won’t get so many complaints that you need to get a higher flow showerhead means the water/heating savings will likely result in you saving a fair bit of money in the long run.Long story short, I’d buy it again.
rubenzdotnet –
I like knowing I’m saving water and feeling cleaner at the same time.
AnTic –
Water saving and event when the head looks small they have a system to spread the water in a mid-wide option
NATHAN CROSS –
You will not even know that it is low flow with the water pressure this thing puts out..I would not even consider this low flow considering the ones I have tried and just dribble out when u try to shower.. this shower head is amazing
Jon E. –
Has a nice water feel, for a low flow.
RG –
I have both the 1.8 and new 2.0 GPM versions. Both have powerful spray on well water, hopefully they can withstand hard water…time will tell. I actually prefer the 1.8 because it has more force, but wife has long hair and she likes the 2.0 due to more rinsing capability. The 1.8 is louder than the 2.0, but again, both are great and well worth the high cost to me.
SplitEdit –
Only used for a few days, but so far, so good. Works well, very simple design, produces a satisfying and relatively gentle spray (I have the 1.5GPM version). The design is simple and ingenious. A simple ball joint with a hole cut through it, held in place with a rubber bushing. The only part that can really go bad is the bushing–because it’s rubber. And as long as the hole itself doesn’t plug up, the lack of a screen prevents clogging. It’s nicely finished, slick-looking, easy to aim, and I like that it’s made in the USA.
FG –
I was optimistic about this shower head meeting our needs both from the many positive reviews and from what I understood about its design. I was not disappointed. We have well water with relatively low pressure and a level of hardness which frequently caused clogging of our old shower head. I hoped that the High Sierra design would focus the spray more centrally and provide greater pressure for a more effective shower. It does that remarkably well. I hope that the clogging problem will also be eased by the single aperture design, but time will about that. My wife was skeptical about the High Sierra but her reaction after using it: “Remarkable!” I concur with all the positive reviews and strongly commend the company which designed and produces this product. Highly recommended!
Buelo –
I have had a similar showerhead for many years and it broke. I was happy to find this one and it worked perfectly.
Scott –
I found the water flow pleasantly strong event though it contained 40% less water than the stream from my old shower head. Honestly, I think it feels like a stronger flow because the old head had been pretty low pressure.I’d been concerned that it might feel harsh or abrasive, but I haven’t experienced that at all. It’s a really elegantly simple design, and I agree with other reviewers that installation was trivial. The trickle-valve feature to turn off the water flow for part of the shower is really convenient and easy to use. I wasn’t really getting much good from the water flow in between rinses, and this makes it easy to avoid wasting water there without losing the water temperature mix that I’d set.The only downside is that you do have to set the water temperature knob higher to feel the same temperature as the water hits the skin. I’d guess that’s because the water is more diffused into separate sprays and so it rushes past more air that it can impart heat to before reaching the washer’s body.
DinoSaur –
Works as advertised and would definitely buy again.
Big sally –
Fantastic water pressure from this. I am VERY happy.
Glenn rousseau –
High Quality
Thomas H. –
I was amazed at how well this showerhead really works. My master shower has always had low water pressure and I thought I would have to keep dealing with poor-performing low-flow showerheads forever. I gave High Sierra a chance, mainly based on product reviews and the look of the showerhead. What was pleasantly surprising is how powerful this little gem is! Now the water stream gives full coverage all the way to the back of my shower. It is also quite refreshing, like standing under a warm high-volume waterfall! I would definitely recommend this product.
Curtis –
I bought this on the recommendation of WIrecutter.Wirecutter recommended the 1.5gpm model, but I was a little leary since my old showerhead was a 2.5gpm, so I got the 1.8.It is freaking great, and hard for me to believe it is 1.8 as it feels like more than the old 2.5gpm. I need to try the 1.5gpm!!
Robert W. Robbins –
It’s really that simple. t’s made a good shower a great spa-like shower and I’m saving money by using less water.
ninja_hamster –
This showerhead does not look like much but, it works very well. it literally feels like you are washing your self in a rain shower. It works very well with low water pressure and feels like you are cleaning yourself. I can definitely say, this is one of those purchases I will never regret. Seriously if you want just a basic shower head, this is the one to get! No other cheap one will beat this thing!
outlaw1 –
I just wanted to save money on my water bill, but not sacrifice water pressure. This did it.
Pen Name –
Been using for a few weeks now. So far so good..have 5 kids so any water savings is gonna be significant. Well..if it truely does save water. I will edit my review when the water bill comes in. Smart design for a shower head too, like out of a power wash type technology. But not rough feeling when it hits your body.
Jeremy Faulkner –
I ordered this shower head to reduce the water consumption in our house. I was initially concerned about dropping the pressure to far and having trouble rinsing our hair and such. This thing exceeded our expectations! We cannot tell the difference from our old 2.5 GPM shower head vs. this 1.5 GPM shower head. Our water consumption has decreased a lot however! My wife has long thick hair and she loves it as well!! if you are looking for water consumption reduction without sacrificing usability then this product is perfect for you! I purchased 2 of these for both of our bathrooms.
Jeriberries –
High quality product I would buy again and again and again
markh –
Used for install with a tankless hot water heater so flow rate was important. I was worried that it would not deliver a shower acceptable to my wife but she loves it. Top notch quality and delivers water just as advertised. Don’t hesitate if you are worried. It delivers as promised.
Snake eyes –
Simple to install and kept simple.Works well but gets more misty the further you get away. Like a couple feet feels like a normal shower but 3-4 feels like a high powered mist (not the greatest feeling)Yes a small bit of noise but not a big deal.Once you get used to it works fine for a low flow showerhead
Virginia Guy –
This company takes pride in their products. The unit was well built with a flawless chrome finish. I am already seeing the water usage savings. I will be buying more in the future. To the company: Thank you for not selling below-average crap made in China.
dollyb67 –
Too good to be true. Amazing pressure. Family is LOVING this shower head. Just buy it. You won’t be disappointed.
Lindy –
Nothing miraculous, but it was an improvement. The build quality is very solid, and it looks great. The 2nd outside shower head now is usable.
Daryl S. Zabel –
Just received this today- installed it(simple) and I am very pleased with the quality, water flow and aesthetic. I would definitely buy again!
J. Taylor –
Have it installed in an RV and the flow is excellent. Best shower head I’ve ever had in an RV.
Harold –
My wife, who is very wary of low flow shower heads, likes this one. Enough said.

This is my first review of any product ever. This shower head was that worthy.Buy.

sleek look, works well, noticed a difference in water bill which is good

We live on the side of a mountain and before the water company put a new water tank in up the hill, our pressure sucked so I had pulled the reducer out of our old cheap plastic head. Now that we have great pressure I noticed that we were using more water, running out of hot water and clogging up the drain. I used the fill a bucket for 10 seconds method to figure out we were using 3 gallons/minute in our shower and knew I needed something better. This head is fantastic! Saving ~$10/per quarter water billing cycle and heating only half the water used for showers so payoff will be less than one year. Pressure is great. I actually like the stream it puts out and the scratching sensation it has on my itchy back. Running out of hot water is a thing of the past and have had zero issues with water filling the tub and backing up in the drain.I highly recommend this!
Margaret B. Waites –
All I know is I got in the shower this morning and I didn’t want to get back out.
Nancy M. Vandyke –
This little shower head really does have more forceful water when showering. My other shower heads seemed so weak when showering. This really does have more force. I have closed the drain to see how much water it uses, and it definitely uses less water. I would buy again.
Aaron C –
I have typically lived in houses that were fed with a well and as such I paid no mind to water usage. I would always dig out the water savers in whatever shower head that I was using to get maximum flow. Now it wasn’t like I liked wasting water, I just liked a good shower and your bog standard 2.5 gpm shower heads do not make for a good shower. However, I now live in a house were I have to pay a monthly water bill and as such I want to keep the bill reasonable. I tried the 1.5 and the 1.8 gpm high sierra shower heads and while I liked both of them the 1.8 has that little bit of extra oomph that really makes for a nice shower. Overall I’m pleased enough with these that I no longer miss the old water waster heads.

I was desperate to reduce my water bill after getting the first full month bill of over $400 on our vacation rental property. After reading the reviews on the High Sierra 1.5 GPM version, I figured I’d take a gamble. When my wife first looked at the showerhead, she said that thing is not going in our showers (too small and bland). I decided to take a risk and install it (which took no more than 5 minutes to remove the old one and install this model) to see what the spray coverage was like. I immediately thought they must have sent me a regular 2.5 GPM version as the spray coverage was so superior to our old 2.5 version I couldn’t believe it was just 1.5GPM. My wife, after taking a shower, asked me how much money would we save if we used these showerheads (a very good sign). After explaining that the shower water usage would be reduced by 40% (plus the reduced electricity cost for heating less water) she decided she liked them. I have installed them in all four showers and I’m looking forward to seeing the reduction in my water billing!
Steve M –
I was more apprehensive about buying this little shower head than I was when I bought my last car. That said, this little high-quality gem is well worth the price. As far as a compromised shower, it’s as satisfying as a high-volume head with no worries of running out of water if someone else is showering in the house. I was concerned that the spray pattern would get the floor wet when I was getting into the shower, but this little guy keeps the spray pattern focused nicely. It does make a bit more noise as it obliterates the water into micro droplets, but it’s not a big deal. Oh, and the trickle valve is the icing on the cake.
swoods –
Usually you do your research, pick a product that you think will be the best for you, and place an order hoping that you’ll get what’s promised. I’m glad to say that this showerhead is delivering on its promise. Easy to install, good water pressure, and savings on water and your water bill. Works for me. Thanks High Sierra, you’ve hit a home run with this product.
Kin M. Wu –
The water pressure is wonderfull. feels like being trenched in a waterfall. worked out so good that im going to buy one for my basement bathroom too.
Wineguy –
Good, powerful flow while saving water. Heavy duty construction.
Jeffrey B. Isnogle –
I love the spray pattern of this shower head. It doesn’t feel like a “low flow” head at all. I also like the fact that it is all metal…very heavy and well made. I bought one for the lake cottage and turned right around and bought one for home too.
Ronin Vato –
For years I endured the weak flow from my apartment shower head. When its plastic parts started to deteriorate, instead of asking my cheap landlord for a replacement, I sprung for one of these. WOW. That changed everything. My shower is now invigorating. High Sierra should do B2B marketing to get these in apartments and hotels everywhere.
George –
Fully lives up to the manufacturer’s promises. I will be getting a second one for the guest bedroom. Nice to see US technology making a comeback even if in this small but environmentally important way.
Fred –
We have problems with clogging normal shower heads. But, not with this one. Works great. Lots of heavy drops of water hitting you with a lot of pressure. Bought 2 more after trying this one. Swivels further than normal ones also. Kind of a narrow shower head, but wife agreed well worth it.
Baker’s Holiday –
Excellent product. Would buy again.
Science Guy –
A quality product so far (3 months). Even, powerful spray. It’s made of metal (corrosion resistant so far), so probably more durable than plastic shower heads. No internal metal water flow reducing washers to clog. Really like it.
Linda J. Adams –
We just replaced an existing low flow shower head with this one and there was an immediate noticeable improvement. The water flow feels much more forceful now. It was very easy to install. Just unscrew the old one and screw this one on, with a couple of turns with a wrench. It feels very solid and well made. Very satisfied so far!
justme –
I was so surprised at how easy this shower head was to install as well as how much power it has. I was super hesitant to try because it is 1.5gm and I have long, thick hair, but it really does work. I still have to help get the shampoo/conditioner out a little – only a little, but that is the case with any low-flow shower heads that I have used. Definitely worth it!
Amazon Customer –
Very high quality.

This one is different—in a good way! It is more compact than other shower heads I have owned and is very well made.In the past, I have had trouble with mineral deposits eventually clogging all my shower heads. I have noticed that previous shower heads allowed water to puddle inside and I think that was the root of the problem. The High Sierra shower head seems to push all water through it as fast as it enters. Hopefully, this will solve my mineral deposit problem. Time will tell. The High Sierra shower head has a vigorous spray that feels different from other shower heads, but it is easy to get used to and is satisfying. One note: the spray has a wide pattern, so make sure your shower curtain is fully closed. Women will want to wear a shower cap to keep their hair dry. Otherwise, it will definitely get wet.
Manuel C. –
I am not one for fancy showers and what not ( specially for this price tag ), but i had to lower the water consumption at home and this is awesome, enough water and pressure to wash your hair and remove shampoo and conditioner.have to say that the price tag was TOTALLY WORTH IT!PROS:- Saves water- Really good water pressure ( unless you like taking showers with a Powered Pressure Washer )- Less water on you when you finish showering ( means faster drying towels )- Easy to install ( if you can screw and unscrew stuff then you are already an expert at installing this )- Build Construction ( this thing is SOLID really impressed by its design and function )Cons- Less water usage? <-- wasn't this the point you wanted this anyways ? :P- None
Thomas K. –
This showerhead is as advertised – it delivers a powerful spray while reducing hot water consumption. Great contribution to ways to conserve energy.
Gene –
I was skeptical despite the glowing reviews, so opted for the 1.8 instead of the 1.6. Well, I don’t know about the 1.6 but the 1.8 lives up to everything. It’s amazing that this is actually low flow (has someone actually tested it? We’re not all being duped are we? ?) – it’s on par with our old pre-regulation shower head.
A. B. Strom –
The best “low flow” shower head I’ve ever tried. I have tried a few from Be Bath and Beyond. Nothing compares to this.
Chris Gammon –
I bought this because a friend has been promoting them for a couple of years. But I’d held off until they came out with a finish that matched my shower appliances. After installing it and trying it out I wrote this to my friend: “I’m so skeptical that this is really only 1.5gpm that I’m gonna test it. Truly amazing. My wife said it puts out too much water. She normally uses a 2.5gpm hand-held unit!” I haven’t done this test yet but my friend sent me stats from others who have. He also sent a diagram on how it works. It still strikes me as some kind of witchcraft, but it DOES work as advertised.
ProductGod –
Wirecutter doesn’t get things wrong, this is really the best 1.5GPM showerhead available. The spray is incredible, the installation was easy, and the product looks great. Easy cop.
Robert Meacham –
Quick delivery, quality product, easy installation!!
Ka –
This took me about 30 seconds to install. It’s got a strong directed spray and the trickle feature works great. I’m really pleased and hope to see a decrease in my water usage. I haven’t noticed it to be loud. It does produce a lot of mist, that feels cooler initially, but I don’t mind that. It’s very well constructed.
Amazon Customer –
Works very well
Steve –
The showerhead delivers high pressure as advertised. And the trickle valve is a good option, if you want to control the flow–it’s meant to be an on/off switch but you can use it effectively for fine adjustments, too. Proactive customer service/follow up let me know about the trickle valve option for my kids. They stand behind every purchase.
Niner’s Lady –
We have had a few of these, what we call “Navy” shower heads and believe me, the High Sierra’s is BY FAR the BEST! We LOVE it! It has a nice flow, not too strong, not too weak and love the size of the water droplets. You can buy cheaper ones but this one is truly worth the extra money. If I could give it ten stars, I would.

The combination of a powerful shower and big water savings is a amazing! Great technology.
Elisabeth Maier –
Living in an earthship I have to be careful with my use of water. This shower head is perfect, should have had it a long time ago!
John D. Leggett –
The more I use this the more I like it. Expensive but worth it. Good pressure and rinsing.
highfivescarf –
i was skeptical about the pressure of this lil guy, but bought it because of the good reviews – and they were right! perfectly great water pressure. easy to install. helps reduce your water use. great, great, great!
Umdorado –
I have a huge Electric bill every month being a NY’ker. 40% of it is Heating water. I do have a water heater that is on Fuel but i installed this Home depot Electric Unit since we are in the habit of taking a bath every day.First Impression: I was skeptical at first by looking at the size of this thing but i was proven wrong. This thing works on the principal of pressure washing.I will update the review once i see a change in my Electric bill. Also, i have a on going bet with my brother to see if it is 1.5 GPM exactly but it is just the thought of wasting water that holds us back. Come summer time or if it is warm enough to wash our car (using two bucket method) i will check the total flow per minute and update.

High Sierra’s All Metal 1.5 GPM High-Efficiency Low Flow Showerhead was a replacement for my dated “shower wand”. Before I switched I would always use just enough water to have a decent shower experience & now that I’ve switched I continue to set the water as I did before and am experiencing twice the pressure.I had purchased a high-efficiency showerhead years ago & it seemed more like a pressure washer rather than a shower. The High Sierra has great pressure & large drops. Happy with my purchase.
Mary –
I have dual shower heads because I wanted a better shower than I get with regular low flow shower heads. I replaced one of the 2.5 GPM shower heads with High Sierras 1.5 GPM shower head. The Sierra side feels like it has more water flow, the flow is more forceful, feels nicer, and it does a better job of rinsing the soap and shampoo. It is also an attractive shower head that looks better built (no plastic) compared to my old shower head. Summary: simple, classy, functional.
Christine –
This shower head is all that is advertised. We were skeptical at first that is was really throwing out that much water while saving it at the same time. But no water pooled in our shower like it had been doing with our other shower head. The water delivered does not sting, as reviews of similar products have relayed. It is a tiny dynamo, very easy to screw on and worth the extra money. Well made.
Leigh G –
Gives low water pressure a boost that makes it feel much more powerful. Just what I was looking for. Not available locally so Thanks Amazon!
David Mascarin –
Great shower head was skeptical at first with the 1.5 wasn’tsure if the droplets would be large enough to reach my little ones that are 4 and 7.However they even approved as they thought the droplets that were larger coming down on them felt better. Also we do I don’t have any pipe or noise whistling if we run the bath versus the shower as some reviewers has stated.
Jim Childers –
Looks good and much better spray than expected for high efficiency. Had to swap out 2.5 GPM because tankless could not heat up water in winter.
alltrade –
Works great lots of pressure
SS –
Works as advertised. I get very good pressure even when water flow turned down fairly low. The shower droplets are solid, not misty. I wouldn’t believe this was a 1.5gpm showerhead if I didn’t know. Material seems quite solid and sleek looking. I have a different high-pressure low-volume head on my other shower that I like and this High Sierra one works at least as well and looks better.
cookiemonster –
this is the 3rd high sierra showerhead i’ve purchased. 2 handheld units and this fixed showerhead.i would NEVER of considered spending so much money on a low flow showerhead but the first time i used it- i got over the sticker shock and happily bought 2 more!i have “hard” water and live in a chronically low rainfall area, the small holes on regular low flow showerheads always get clogged and inefficient. i’m super happy that it only uses 1.5 gpm even though it doesn’t feel like it at all!
Tom Farrington –
Very nice shower and super water saver
Jesus S. –
Great product very easy to install, The water pressure get higher
Man in the Middle –
I once, long ago had a very small, very high pressure water-saving shower head that I really loved. Cost a whole $10 from the local hardware store, and was labeled as coming from Europe. Ever since, I’ve been hoping to find another like it, without success, until I ordered this showhead. No, it’s not the same company, and works a bit differently, but it has the same essential small size, high pressure and good distribution of water, while using less water than most other showheads labeled as water-saving.My wife wishes I’d paid the extra to get the version with the shutoff valve, but I take really short showers, so having that feature doesn’t matter for me. I would, however, add it if buying again.Note: There is also an older 1.5GPM version of this at the same price, but I figure this newer version uses a bit more water because it needs to for happy customers, and chose accordingly, with no regrets.Highly recommended!
Mark J –
The quality of this shower head is really remarkable. Excellent pressure while still conserving water.
Silver Trumpet –
Saves water without sacrificing water pressure. Looks great and easy installation.
BobW –
Good, strong shower. Quality construction.Stream is a bit narrow as opposed to my old Kohler Forte – but that used 2.5GPM
Sudsy –
Replaced an old shower head with this energy saving one.Easy to install and works great.
kerbe –
I’m one of those people who changes light switches and showerheads and faucets – even in rental apartments – because I like to use devices that meet my needs. This means that, over the years, I’ve tried more than a dozen different showerheads – not to mention the ones I’ve used in hotels and in my friends’ homes. Without a doubt, this is the very best showerhead I’ve ever used – and the only reason I stopped using it was to replace it with one of their hand-held units when my bathroom required a gut-reno!
P.D. –
I was looking to replace a similar shower head from a brand that is no longer available. This one fit the bill perfectly.Solid construction, high quality materials and water saving as well.

a+
Diane Begreen –
We can’t believe this carries only 1.5 GPM. I have long thick hair and all the water saving showerheads we’ve tried could not rinse out my hair. This showerhead is heavy and extremely well made. The fact that it swivels is only a plus. This gets 5 stars without the swivel.
Brickbat70 –
I have used various low-flow showerheads over the years and this is easily my favorite. I bought the chrome version for my upstairs bathroom and liked it so much that I bought the brushed nickel for my basement bathroom. Both look great and feel solid and well-made (and they certainly look much less industrial that my previous low-flow showerheads). Of course they are a more “aggressive” flow than normal flow showerheads, so they take a few days to get used to. They’re also a bit louder, but again that seems like it’s just the physics of how low-flow showerheads must work. The “spray pattern” is great, and it doesn’t feel like there are any “blank” spots where water isn’t hitting you. Overall I’m 100% satisfied with their looks and function.
BigGene –
Replaced older less effective and not water saving Head. Saving Energy, Saving Cost and Protecting Enviorment is a New Years Goal that I now take My part in.
Hugh Katz –
Like simple product functional design. Excellent spray pressure and throw. The best.
Gustavo Quintero Sanchez –
Cambie mi anterior regadera ya que se tapaba muchisimo y opte como prueba con esta y la verdad funciona de maravilla cuando la recibi pense que no funcionaria. pero me lleve una grata sorpresa.
GREGG M RAYMOND –
A very well made, high quality product. The included directions were excellent. Within minutes, I had removed the old shower head and easily installed the new shower head. No leaking. It’s hard to believe it is high efficiency based on the quality of the shower stream. I am use to a bigger size shower head but this small solid metal one performs as well or better than larger shower heads. I was grateful to find such a great efficient shower head.
Jill Abram –
Shower has a great feel and saves water
Boxter –
I would not know that it was low-flow based on rinsing effectiveness.PROS: Provides a powerful fulfilling spray that rinses you quickly and completely. The Trickle valve OPTION works great. The switch is easy to use. It is a very effective way to save water. The additional cost for the option is pretty much the same as it would cost if you purchased a trickle cutoff separately.Looks pretty cool with its thin profile. You will likely be able to install with no tools, but a crescent wrench and Teflon Tape is always a good idea.Made in USACONS: There is no variability in the spray. (not a feature I ever used on my last showerhead) Spray is not as defined as a regular shower head. There is a heavy mist that surrounds the spray. It doesn’t bother me, but a shorter member of the household feels like it is difficult to keep her hair dry on those days she only wants to shower torso. Our shower places the head pretty high. It would not likely be a problem with a shower head that was mounted lower. Q&A say something about an optional splash guard, that was applicable to a previous design, not this one.It is louder than previous showerhead, but not crazy-loud.
Cindy H. –
This works as advertised, and it’s fine. I just wish that it generated a more powerful spray the way my old one did.
Tyler –
I had an older version with the plastic tip, this all chrome one is nicer, but both are amazing. For stall showers, these heads put out what feels like substantial water and the low flow switch is great for sudsing up. These are seriously high quality.
Gila Hiker –
Found this product at the top of “Best Low-Flow Showerheads 2018” review list. While the people rating it were overwhelmingly positive, the sample size was large enough that you could read and try to make sense of the “1’s”. Most were dissatisfaction with seller. A few simply did not like the feel of the water pattern. We love the feel of the water, proved the efficiency (we live in high desert and collect the pre-hot cold water in a bucket for other uses), love the design parameter that should make it anti-clog and love that it’s all-metal and should last. An easy 5 star rating!
Wayne Harris –
Works exactly as advertised. The spray is pleasant and feels surprising powerful. Nice to save water, electricity and money without feeling deprived. I plan to buy another our second shower.
C. J. Trayser –
We wanted a solid metal semi-low-flow showerhead with a manual off/trickle button. We’ve been using this for over a month and really like it. We picked the 1.8gpm model since we’ve not been happy with other low-flow 1.5gpm showerheads…this one has enough pressure to rinse soap and shampoo more effectively. Installation was easy with a little plumbers tape and a wrench. No, it’s not cheap, but we got tired of replacing plastic showerheads that cracked or leaked.
Robert Niemeyer –
We purchased over the years 7 of these wonderful water saving shower heads . The 1.5 or the 1.8 both have a invigorating spray. If you did not know you would think more water was coming out than there is. They work especially well if you have a tankless waterheatwr
Dr.anonymous –
Easily the best shower I’ve ever had! Love the simplicity and high quality!
N A BUCKWALTER –
Easy to install and works great. The pressure is actually higher than my old 2.5 GPM shower head, although the area sprayed is a bit smaller. Easy way to save on water and would highly recommend.

Amazon Customer –
I purchased three of these to replace all of the showerheads in my home. I really like the quality and feel of the shower as well as the water savings and electric to heat that water. Recommended.
Steven Hernandez –
My sister-in-law lives with us now. It really sucks. I could go into detail, but you could imagine…She takes 40 minute showers. I hate it so much. So I changed out her shower head with this. I did the shower head in our master bath at the same time because my wife takes 30 minute showers. I also hate that, but I love her enough to not complain to her. I don’t really love my sister-in-law, so I’ve started charging her for water. It has great pressure, a wide spray pattern, and doesn’t sound loud. The trickle valve is tremendous and reminds me of “combat showers” in Iraq. Only note is that due to the atomization of the water, the temperature is cooled down significantly. Be prepared to set your shower handle more towards the hot end than you used to.
Keith B. –
Low flow shower head that dos not feel like one, Evan with the rate reduced below 1.5 GPM using “Trickle valve”If you want to save water , an excellent choice.
Nom –
The shower head sprays a perfect cone of droplets. Both my wife and I really like it.
Tom –
I’m a very healthy skeptic and always take these reviews with a grain of salt. When I purchased this 1.8 gallon per minute shower head I had relatively low expectations but after my first shower I’m hooked. This is one of the best shower heads that is low flow that I have tried. Great work!
Laura martinez –
Love this and saves water ? ?
Dadlfxt –
Very low water flow but enough pressure to make for a good shower. Highly recommended.
Bob –
Although our water pressure is 83 psi, this shower head gives an excellent invigorating rinse.
WWJ –
Bought this back in 2011. Never had an issue with it. Went from getting (1) shower per tank to (2). Highly recommended.
Halfton57 –
I absolutely love this showerhead. I’ve tried different showerheads over the years and to get a decent shower I’ve had to use one that used a lot of water but this one is different… It feels like a massaging showerhead but only uses 1.8 gallons per minute which is amazing in my opinion!
N. Robinson –
Great for encouraging kids to use less water. Let’s face it, they are going to spend 30 to 45 minutes in there. Why not have them use half the amount of water? Sure, they complain about the lower water volume… but they don’t pay the bills do they? Maybe with enough use they will elect to just move out. If that happens I will post an update.
dan s –
Saving money without compromising a quality shower, just wish I got it sooner
J.A. –
I try to be pretty eco-friendly where I can, but because a morning shower is pretty important to kick off the day right, it’s also important to be comfortable. This shower head is a great blend of practical and conservative, and for a great price.FLOW & PRESSURE: As many others have said, this shower is no-frills and no-nonsense – you get one setting, one pressure, that’s it. Fortunately, the pressure is great considering the flow is significantly less than that of a typical shower head, and I actually get more pressure than the generic 2.5g head that was installed when we moved into our apartment.NOISE: Others have complained about noise, but I don’t think this is an issue at all. It’s not silent by any stretch of the imagination, but there’s no roar, squeak, vibration or anything else – just the sound of the spray, which to me is no different than any other (non-luxury) head I’ve used.TRICKLE VALVE (optional): I opted for the trickle valve, which is essentially a shut-off switch to save water when you don’t need it. It’s a quick button-press and the water comes to a halt, saving just that much more water. I like standing under the water sometimes just to feel the warmth, especially after a long run or day working outside, but there are times when it’s not necessary to have the water running, and the trickle valve makes this convenient. The best part is it’s really nice not having to fiddle with the temperature to get it just right again – there’s no excuse left at that point!SUMMARY: All in all, this is a great product for the price, it works exactly as advertised, and personally I think it looks pretty sharp. I really appreciate products that gets right to the point, and I can tell these guys’ investment went into engineering a great product, and not just into the box it comes in. I highly recommend this product, especially for anyone who loves taking long showers – this is a pretty convenient way to take a small step toward reducing water waste (or just saving money on your bill!).
abzen –
Great shower head, has all the force of a non-water saver.
jeffrey vamvakias –
This shower head is simply amazing. At less than half the flow of our old shower head, it delivers a powerful and wonderul flow of water. It’s absolutely the best shower head I’ve ever experienced. Super adjustable; it’s a joy to get in the shower. And we’re saving energy and money!
Amazon Customer –
Best shower experience. Hard to believe it’s low flow but I measured it and it’s definitely uses 40 percent less water than my old showerhead. Highly recommend.
Amazon Customer –
I recently moved into an area with high water costs so I wanted a shower head that would help keep the costs down. This was the recommended brand and couldn’t find it in stores. I bought the one with the trickle valve for a little extra, but it’s well worth it. This shower head is great! It still has great pressure for being smaller and 1.5 gpm and the fact I can turn it down is even better! Was a little higher in price, but if you save money on the water bill, it’s money well spent.
Heather –
Amazing. We had terrible water pressure at our new apartment. We added this and now it’s coming out not just harder but with a much wetter, fuller feel to it than regular shower heads.
submarine –
Got it because the apartment had a very high flow head which meant the hot water in the heater only lasted like 10 minutes. With this head I was able to regulate it, so I could take a 25 minute shower and still have hot water in the heater. I only with it came with a wrench as it is quite expensive.
K&M –
We are on well-water and this feels very nice where other shower heads were just not satisfying. Being significantly cheaper than other “low flow” luxury shower heads, and the fact that hard water doesn’t clog it up were also very welcome things as well. If I had to pick anything to complain about, it is only that the water tends to create a mist around the edges so things not in the direct path of the stream also get wet.
Amazon Customer –
Arrived quickly and installation was a breeze. Pressure is incredible for only 1.5 GPM, it’s better than my old shower head which was double the water per minute! Have got a water bill yet but I’m sure it’ll pay for it’s self in no time.
M. Creamer –
Love this showerhead! Our water bills are going up, therefore, I needed a showerhead that would help me to conserve water when showering. This one is perfect!!!!
AS –
Turned very weak low water pressure shower into something usable. Well worth the price.
Joe DesRosier –
We had low water pressure in one of our bathrooms, so I looked for a low flow showerhead that might help to resolve the trickle effect of our previous showerhead. The High Sierra 1.5 GPM High Efficiency Low Flow Showerhead uses the low water pressure efficiently and we have a real shower now that works.I liked this showerhead so much that I bought a second one for our other shower that had no issues.I’m glad to be using less water.
Bonnie Jacobson –
I wanted an all-metal shower head with a good flow and this works great.
Kim –
For such a small shower head it sure does put out a powerful spray of water! Very happy. Thank you!
jjohnohara –
Great little unit. Saves water, nice powerful flow. Would be 5 stars if the flow pattern were adjustable.
Stan S. –
This small shower head performs like a higher pressure one. The shower spray provides good body coverage. It’s nice to know that it won’t get plugged up. It’s a bit pricey but appears to be worth it with positive results.
Danny –
Bought this a few weeks ago in hopes of conserving water when showering. Beautiful, simple design and great power! Very easy to install.
Mieke –
You will not notice that this is a low water flow showerhead. The water pressure is high enough to rinse thick hair, yet, not so hard that it would sting your skin.
SJL –
great showerhead, nicely machined and crafted. works as advertised. good purchase experience all around.
E. T. Yu –
Good size water droplets. Sleek appearance.
Diego Acosta –
The best shower head in the world. I was searching the internet for the best saving shower head on the market and many articles indicated that the High Sierra was the one. They definitely were not wrong! My girlfriend tried it and was also fascinated. She can not believe how can she have such a nice shower and rinse her hair so easily with only 1.5 gallons per minute!100% recommendable !!
Bill from Richmond –
Works just like it should and it’s metal
Mike M. –
Easy install. Large water droplets mask its water saving ability. Made in USA is a plus!
Dave –
I have measured the flow as it seemed to be greater than advertised but it is right on the money. But the “feel” of the output is most excellent – seems to be a normal (more water) flow. The flow can also be adjusted by gentle pushes on the cutoff pin at the top of the shower-head. Also note that this is the 4th of these shower-heads I have installed in my house over the course of a couple of years. If I ever move, these shower-heads are coming with us.
Anon33 –
This is the best low-flow shower head I’ve ever used. With normal water pressure, the 1.8 gpm is forceful enough that I often don’t even need to open the faucet all the way (when I’m not washing my hair); for anyone with low water pressure, it should provide ample force for an enjoyable shower. Unlike the Oxygenics (which I’ve used for years), it doesn’t aerate the water so the temperature isn’t affected and I’ve been able to lower the setting on my water heater. Don’t let its small size fool you — it’s a terrific product!
J. Coats –
High Sierra makes the best shower heads in the business…I will be a lifelong customer. Quality product at a great price.
Mr.Moon –
Buy this! Help save water and the Earth! They really provide sufficient flow and pressure to feel like there is more water coming out ot if, but you are saving at least 1 gallon per minute versus a regular showerhead. There is really no downside to this, this shoud be mandatory worldwide.
JV –
Love this shower head!
Daniel Ward –
works great
Bryce –
The spray is powerful and plentiful. The piece is high quality and easy to install. I’d highly recommend this.
Alexis –
This shower head provides amazing water pressure, even though it’s low flow. Installation was super quick!
H. K –
This 1.5gpm , big as a thumb, showerhead feels like it is using more water than my old 2.5gpm one. In fact as soon as showered i did a fill test with a bottle to make sure it was 1.5gpm.There are some cons however; the spray pattern is not very well contained and water splatters much higher up the shower walls than conventional shower heads. This may be a consideration for those with hard water and glass enclosures, as it can lead to more water spots.
MothmanFromSpace –
Installation was simple, it works well, and the water pressure is just fine.
general orange sherbert –
I continue to be truly impressed with the pressure and spray this showerhead produces. Don’t let the tiny box it arrives in fool you, it works extremely well and throw a wise spray. We’re continually astounded that it’s low flow. Absolutely recommend.
Jeff B –
The spray doesn’t feel like it’s from a low flow showerhead.
Grant B –
Fantastic shower head. Best I have used. Uses lots less water but good at washing off soap or shampoo.
Karen –
Greta pressure! Only complaint is that it is a bit louder than a normal showerhead but worth it
a. garcia –
This is my second HighSierra shower head. The spray is very powerful but yet conserves water. My water bill has come down. I was concerned about the spray because I have very long hair and washing it would be problematic if the spray would just trickle out. However not the case. You will like this shower head.
mo –
outstanding product all metal and it is made in the USA!!! Love the quality of the product and it does everything it said to do!!!
Amazon Customer –
It is a very good shower head. I hope it saves water, it works just like any other shower head.
Becky Gomez –
I bought this since I have a teen who takes the longest showers and I hate policing the showers, so instead, I can make sure he’s using less water while taking his lengthy showers. My teen only said it does a better job rinsing his hair, no complaints about the shower head.
David Kevin Wood –
Amazing product. Delivers such a great, satisfying shower. Hard to believe it’s only 1.5 GPM.
Mike –
Works well with good water flow while conserving water (and, indirectly, gas)
PERRY L. SNYDER –
This is my 3rd purchase and all have been manufactured to same high standards.
R –
It works……….price is premium but it does produce droplets rather than stinging fine spray of most low flow nozzles. Heavy and well constructed.
C. Smith –
Excellent shower head. I was very worried about the water pressure on these things, considering I was going from some super powerful shower head to this little low water one. I gotta say: it DEFINITELY surprised me. I attributed it to the lack of anything in the middle, just a big open hole for water to come out of, but it feels like it has some real pressure going on.Anyhow, I got it because I have a septic tank and am a worry-wort. I didn’t want to have 5 guests all showering at 8 gallons per minute back to back to back, so we grabbed these.
VJ –
Great shower head! Very low water flow, but great coverage and feel. And not that hard stinging attack so many low flow shower heads use to over-compensate the flow challenge. I have no idea how High Sierra managed this, but am very happy with this product.
Nancy Hinton –
Great. Price point, high pressure for water saving shower head.
OK3W –
I’ve owned many shower heads . This by far is the best!! Water where I live is very expensive. I thought I would give this a try. Glad I did.
Cathleen Evans –
Terrific Product! Performs exactly as advertised. Works well with low pressure. Easy to install. Looks sharp!
JanRN –
Small but mighty!! I traded in a rain shower type head for this one because of our terrible water pressure. It used to take forever to get the shampoo out of my hair. The High Sierra is amazing and my shower time has been cut by 1/3. Highly recommend for low water pressure homes or anyone who wants a vigorous shower while saving water too!
Super Max –
Very pleased with the performance of this shower head. I like the pattern and feel of the water stream better than my old high-flow head. Unlike many water conserving shower heads this one does not feel like you are sacrificing a good shower to save water. I think the key is the larger water droplets with this head rather than the tiny streams with other brands.
William Sampson –
I was doubtful. Coming from a high end Hansgrohe Clubmaster 2.5gmp head it was going to be tough to feel good about this this kind of flow and design but the team at Sierra did a great job – this head puts out a mixed flow with large medium and small droplets (but not mist) that is just random enough to give you the sensation of warmth and water envelopment one looks for in a shower. My Bricor gives a pretty good low flow shower but this pattern is superior. I don’t feel like Im giving anything up.Great job guys.
Tim –
I’ve tried multiple low flow shower heads for low water pressure situations. This is far and away the best.
Terry Baggs –
A great feeling shower with a lot less water. Love the large water drops. Would certainly buy again.
Karen –
I have tried low flow shower heads in the past and they all pretty much sucked. Not this one. I actually think it is better than the non low flow I replaced it with. The water comes out at a very good pressure not week at all. My house is on septic and I have been trying to conserve water and this will help.
Amazon Customer –
Amazing low tech makes showering with this super water saving shower head feel luxurious. Very cool
June J. Morris –
Wow! This is amazing pressure out of this shower head. Best shower head I have ever had.
Mark Duncan –
Great stream with high pressure. Solid metal too.
guppy –
i have bought 4 shower heads since moving in to my new house with terrible water pressure. all claiming that they would make my showering experience better by increasing pressure. all have failed. then i decided to take a chance on the high sierra .i was hesitant to make the $54 gamble , but i was tired of spending extra time in the shower making sure i got all the soap rinsed off of me. the high sierra DELIVERED. there’s nothing fancy about it. you can’t change the spray pattern , but if you have horrible shower water pressure like i did, this is the shower head for you.
Sama –
We have hard water and get mineral build up. Even though we soak/clean the shower head we needed to change the old “efficient” shower head. I think we were wasting a lot of water waiting for the hot water to come out. The new shower head, also efficient at 1.5 ga/min lets the hot water come out so fast. We are very happy with the water pressure from this shower head. What I noticed in the very first time I used it was how quickly I was done. I rinsed off the soap so quickly and done; I was standing in the shower wondering, I’m done already? That was fast, seemed twice as fast.
LightningMan –
This is so well crafted it is a piece of art in its own right. We tried the 1.5GPM model but found that it misted more than we liked. We set our shower pressure low, and it just did not work well. However, we liked the quality enough to try the 1.8GPM model and found that it was just right. For what you get, this showerhead is well worth the price.
Amazon Customer –
Easy to install – substantial cut in water usage – dramatic increase in pressure – aesthetically pleasing – highly recommend
Greener.prarie.adventures –
Efficient, saves water and reduces our water bill slightly. You hardly notice how much less water you are using because it works so well. I think that we saved about $3 on our water bill the first month we had it.High Sierra’s All Metal 1.5 GPM High Efficiency Low Flow Showerhead. Available in: Chrome, Brushed Nickel, Oil Rubbed Bronze, or Polished Brass
Amazon Customer –
Just installed shower heads. Love the power for the small amount of water that it used. I ordered another two.
steve a duke jr –
Excellent shower head, made in the USA. The designers of this product deserve a bravo.
H20man –
This is my second set of shower heads, the second set was purchased for a brand new home. These are all steel in comparison. The heads work very well with plenty of pressure at only 1.5 gpm. My only minor complaint is the spray is much wider than my previous heads. I wish it were adjustable. I would def7buy them again.

We live in an apartment complex with the saddest water pressure that you ever did see. The best way I can describe showers before we got this was being pissed on by a drunk man in winter. I would easily pay 3 times the amount for this shower head after trying it. It is rather loud as a few other reviewers have said. All I can say is that the shower itself is worth it.
Margaret P. Wood –
We purchased this shower head because the water pressure in our house is too high and we were being scoured by the present head. With the water flow control on the High Sierra Showerhead we are able to control the pressure. The result is a very comfortable flow using much less water. Great product.
Travis Puglisi –
I have never reviewed anything….ever….seriously. I just did a full remodel on my house but have not done the master bathroom yet but needed to have a functioning bathroom so my family could move in. We’re also on hauled water so low flow is a for real consideration. I love this shower head. I feel like I’ve never loved a shower head so much. A worthy purchase for sure.

Very good quality- decent spray for small shower head (I have low pressure) I did return it because I wanted something with a massage setting – but would highly recommend for someone wanting a basic shower head with decent spray
Devon von Lichtenstein –
As a person that travels quite a bit, I’ve experienced a large array of showers over the years. Normally, the quality of a shower head is not something I ever would’ve spent time thinking about, but after encountering everything from jets that felt like razors cutting through my skin, to rain-like shower heads that drop from straight down, I started to realize that my current shower head was pretty sub-par. After taking time to find one that not only felt great, but also had decent pressure and was ideally low-flow, I finally found the High Sierra. I’ve been using the shower head for a couple of weeks now and I absolutely love it! It’s everything I had been missing from my old shower head and will save more than 4,000 gallons of water in a year compared to my old one!
Danny –
I don’t have a low pressure problem. I simply wanted something different than a standard shower head setup, so I bought 3 of these, using 2 for the shower head (with shutoff’s on each and attached to 16″ locking extensions) and 1 for a wand attachment. I haven’t installed it yet, as I am still piecing the entire thing together. Pics when finished!
Nathan Vaughn –
Best shower head ever, got this and two faucet aerators and saved over 1,000 gallons last month!
NOCkid –
Appears to be very solidly made. As other reviewers have noted it seems to flow more than a typical 1.5 GPM head, more than the 2.5 GPM it replaced. Because the spray droplets are larger it generates less steam than than the fine spray types.
Samantha B. –
I love this shower head! I bought the model with the trickle valve. My showers are still five minutes long, but use less than half the water of my previous shower head (2.5 GPM), as I am able to turn off the head easily when I need to soap up.
Simon Palko –
I’ve had the High Sierra all metal showerhead installed for a while now, and it’s absolutely great. When you have a really thick head of hair, getting enough pressure out of a low flow showerhead to fully rinse out shampoo can be a struggle. Most of them feel like standing outside in a drizzle. And given that most of the time I’m looking to be in and out of the shower as fast as possible, that’s a real timesink I’d rather not have. The High Sierra absolutely does not have that issue. It puts out a steady high pressure spray without it feeling uncomfortable, and really powers off the dirt, soap, and shampoo. It’s also built like an absolute tank, and will probably last longer than I own this house.
knitty –
I had one of these shower heads in my previous home and loved it. It does save water while giving a strong flow. Plus, it has a streamlined look which I like.
Stephen Johnson –
Easy to install. Pleasant shower – a mixture of a misty spray and hard drops that is invigorating in a narrow stream. The only possible drawback would be the cost, and after one week it’s too early to see a water bill difference.
Flaco B –
I love these! In addition to their using less water, the water sprays out so hard that we can turn the faucet down about halfway and still get a strong spray! My son says they are too loud. I told him to turn the pressure down.
Lloyd I. –
My family likes it. Our local town uses water rates to fund operations since a tax override failed. Our water bill per month is $120 for 3 people. We are hoping this new shower head will help out a bit. It seems well made.
Brian D. Ashman –
I just wish these were less expensive. If they could do this with 1.25gpm than it would beet the Niagra shower-head from day one. Within a few years the Niagra showehead clogs with calcium, while this simply keeps performing with a rigorous forceful spray of water. I have the version with a clear plastic exterior surface, and it is so robust with all metal inside that I don’t know why they go to an all metal head design. I’d have rather they reduced the price. If not for the convenience of not needing to unclog this showerhead within a couple years, this would need to last a decade to be as affordable as a $10 Niagara showerhead. This seems like it will. There is a 1.8gpm version for those with less water pressure, but I find this to be ideal in St. Paul, MN.
Jacqueline L. Gillett –
The pressure is fabulous
mg –
Water efficient, good-looking, simple. Trickle valve is useful for conserving water. Easy to keep clean.
Jeffrey T. Randall –
This shower head is fantastic. We live in an area with low water pressure. Our water pressure woes are compounded by the fact we we also have a tankless electric water…which also lowers water pressure. Over the past several years we have tried numerous shower heads(5 to be exact) that were billed as great showerheads for low water pressure…none of them worked as billed. This shower head, even though it’s only rated at 1.8 gpm, kicks ass…feels like our water pressure doubled. If you have low water pressure in your area I would recommend this product…go with the 1.8 vs 1.5
Greg P. –
Searched for a replacement for a similar shower head I used for 25 years. The spray is more substantial and I really wanted the no clog feature. Being all metal and made in the USA sealed the deal. Don’t buy coated plastic junk from China that dominates the bathroom fixture industry.
Cat Y –
My water bill has been unusually high lately and so I decided to change my shower head so that I could save water. This things works great! I have thick and long hair so I went with this one due to its high pressure. It is a little more noisy than your normal shower head but I don’t really mind so much. It definitely doesn’t feel like a low GPM shower head and I’m glad I went with this shower head than the other much cheaper priced ones. Worth the extra dollars and I can see a difference in my water bill already!
K Schartz –
We love it. It feels too good to be water efficient.
Sean M. Fokes –
terrific design. The mix of droplet sizes makes it feel like way more than 1.5 gpm.
sam –
Made in the US
Consumer –
Noisy but very good shower head.
Susan M. Fries –
Recently forced to minimize waste water. This shower head provides a great shower and rinses my long, thick head of hair with no problem. After trying it, bought one for each shower in our house.
James Hietala Jr –
This is an incredible low-flow shower head. It feels like a regular shower head!
J. Bowman –
I have 3 of these shower heads and they all work great amazing. I am a life long customer.
Charles in the Valley –
This is the third one of these showerheads I’ve bought – they’re all operating at different locations. This is the best low-flow showerhead I’ve ever used. It has an ingenious design that mixes the water and, for some reason, it doesn’t clog. The oldest one I have is about 4 1/2 years old and still going strong. I heartily recommend these products.
Nick in Portland –
We liked this product so much that I ended up purchasing a 2nd showerhead within 1 week after I bought the first one. The spray pattern feels better than my previous 2.0GPM head made by Delta. It is too early to tell how much the showerhead swap will effect water consumption but I feel better about using less of our precious #1 resource.Don’t hesitate in buying one of these shower heads. I cannot think of one negative attribute that I can place on this product.
Ilsa79 –
After several problems with my hot water not working, I figured I’d try this “low flow” shower head along repairing my oil burner. It is now the BEST shower I’ve taken in my home. I had a Moen 2.5 gallon shower head that was like peeing in the wind. This little guy hammers the water down in large, aggressive droplets. With the 1.5 gallon pull, it is putting less stress on my aging boiler, which produces hot water on demand. The pamphlet says it uses 40% less water, so hopefully I will see that reflected in my water and oil bill… The only down side is that it tends to spray everywhere, getting the entire shower wetter than before and not a concentrated spray, so my hair tends to get wet (I don’t wash it every day). It also doesn’t “look pretty” but who’s staring at the shower head?
mtnbassoon –
This shower head is sturdy metal, not plastic and woks really well. It only took a few days to receive the item.
Stuffing Boy –
Very good pressure for a low flow showerhead. Well made, sturdy construction. Highly recommended!
muvywriter –
A good, invigorating morning shower is a wonderful gift from one’s self that is almost unique. This is the place to find one. Very high quality, beautiful finish, we both love the sound it makes. Nothing better.
T Smith –
This is the best showerhead I have ever had…I bought two oil bronze all metal w diverter…I love them..wife loves them..kids love them…girlfriend loves them!!!!!!!
J. Vroom –
Works great. Good shower pressure and only 1.8 GPM.
Kelea –
I have been looking for a shower head to replace a 2 gallon per minute shower head that felt more like 4 gpms. Saving water is really crucial where I live and every drop counts. This shower head did not disappoint! As other reviewers mentioned, it does have a louder decibel than other products but nothing disturbing by any means. I want to say that the pressure is great but not “too much”. The water does not come out misty as some really low flow heads do and it was just as satisfying a shower as higher gpm products. Definitely recommend!
Amazon Customer –
We love these shower heads! The spray is wide and it stays consistent on pressure. The trickle valve is wonderful for soaping up in our smaller master bath shower and it is helping us save so much water during the week! It’s sturdily constructed and looks nice in the bathroom (not the fanciest thing, but I’m more a fan of function over beauty). Drains after each shower and so far, no build up from either of the units we own. Only complaint is the water droplets are a bit sharp, but not overly so; just encourages us not to take thirty minute showers… Great product!
Amazon Customer –
This is an amazing water saving shower head. I am a landlord and my tenants love this and so does my accountant. It has a large droplet spray so it doesn’t sand blast you or leave you feeling unclean. It is a tight pattern that feels like a water fall with no more than 1.5 gallons. It works great in low pressure water situations, or if you want to use an on demand water heater but have it at a lower flow rate if you water is too cold. I usually use it at 1/3 the rate to save water and it still is an excellent shower. It is actually made in usa! Not like some sights. I have bought many items that were falsely listed as such and the package was stamped with a big “Made in China” label on it. Also if you want an amazing low water use “Made in China” toilet, Niagra .08 gallon is one you should look at.
Daniel Bodner –
The shower head provides the feeling of a lot of water spraying at you. I almost don’t believe it is as water efficient as its rating suggests. It meets the newest tough 1.8 gpm California 2018 requirements. I do really like it, so much that I ordered another for our other shower. My only knock on it is that there is something slightly jarring about the shower experience itself. Its not quite the smooth relaxing flow sensation that I had with my other shower head.
Sean Mallinson –
Excellent product! Well designed and crafted. We have very hard water and I’ve gone through numerous showerheads that have clogged up repeatedly. Very happy with this purchase and for the price, it’s a bargain.
Sheri –
I love this showerhead! It gives great pressure, but it doesn’t hurt… feels just right. I love that it won’t clog seeing as we have hard water. And I’m so excited we will be saving water each shower. We attached it too a filter and it has been working great. I’ll most likely buy another for our other shower!
Laurie –
I got the 1.5 for my stand-up shower and the 1.8 for my tub shower. These are undeniably the BEST water-conserving showerheads on the American market and worth every penny of the price. They are deceptively simple in appearance. The dozens of little holes that can get clogged up with mineral deposits and look limey aren’t there! And you can hardly believe that the forceful, stimulating conical spray of water comes out from that one simple hole, but it does. This may be the best shower I have ever had.
Andrew Ault –
Wow! This shower head is incredible. Low flow but high power. Seems like much more water hitting you, but looking down at the drain, very low flow. Made in the USA by family run business. Beautifully chromed metal. Costs more than plastic junk, but it is an *excellent* value.* Added after owning it for a long while: I continue to love this shower head. I feel like I’m in a special club of water misers that still somehow get a great shower. Regular shower heads seem underpowered and wasteful by comparison.Recommended!
Amazon Customer –
This is an incredibly well built shower head. You can tell a lot of care went into its manufacturing and assembly. In fact, the shower head was packaged in a nice plastic pouch complete with its warranty and the signature of the person who assembled it.I bought this shower head for our family vacation home because we have a septic tank and I wanted to decrease the amount of water per gallon going down the drain. I was afraid that a 1.5gpm head would be anemic–NOT THIS ONE! It gives off an extremely nice invigorating stream without any stinging sensation. Because of the orifice used to force water through it, it is a little loud, but not distractingly so.I plan on ordering more of these for my regular home because you can save a lot of water and still get a great shower.
Amazon Customer –
On our city water pressure this provides a great shower experience for its low flow rate. Will be buying again for our second shower.
Lauren Morreale –
Best shower head ever saves money and has high pressure count me in.
Dacia Ketterer –
Great shower head. It is noisy but it is hard to believe it only puts out the few gallons it does. It is all metal and heavy duty. I am happy with the purchase
Gerald W. Mattos –
Works as advertised. Since I have only had 2 showers since it arrived and I have not checked the flow rate as being 1.5 gallons I will reserve my full review until I have used it for 1 month. Thus far it works fine, feels great on the skin, and the shut off valve is smooth and it does not leak or drip unlike others I have used in past years. It is a QUALITY product Made in the United States.
Carrie Brown –
This shower head is awesome! Hard to believe it’s a low flow.
sHELmOOSE –
I bought myself a new shower head after I foolishly moved from one house to another and did not bring my High Sierra shower head along. I suffered with the wrong one for two months and finally said – enough is enough – I need my High Sierra shower head. I’ve got it now and I am so happy. I’m building an outside shower in the spring and I will be buying a High Sierra shower head for that shower as well. Triple AA rating! 5 Stars Plus…
QUENTIN –
It does what it says, pretty solid item so far, doesn’t seem like I’ll run into any issues and I’m happy with that. Def worth the money if you are on the fence.
C.d.mills –
Our old shower head broke and I needed one that rotated down enough to not have water going everywhere. I also had another one that had my shower curtain blowing in the wind. This works great. I had problems installing (thought I needed to use thread tape) and emailed the company. They not only got back to me asap they also sent me out another one in case the one i had was faulty. Great company and great product.
a_guy_in_boston –
This is the best showerhead that I have ever found. I installed it in both of the showers in my home. It is really, really good. I can’t even tell that it’s low flow — that’s just a bonus.
janice cavanaugh –
Love the American made High Sierra Showerhead I just purchased, and I love the High Sierra Showerhead Customer Service. Great product, great store.
MJD –
Nice quality built shower head. Low flo but gives a great shower. I have long hair and it rinsed quick. I also like that it’s made in the USA
Marty Milkovits –
Love it-valve is very high quality.
kerbe –
I was unprepared for the forcefulness of the spray from this showerhead! It’s amazing! You will not think it’s a water-saving device if you’ve ever used another water-saving showerhead.
Twin Cities citizen –
This is a great shower head. I believe I’ve seen one in a hotel a time or two. The version we bought is a slightly higher flow rate than another High Sierra shower head that looks exactly the same, so be careful. Makes me believe there is absolutely zero benefit to all those other settings/flow patters on other shower heads.
David M –
I was surprised at the apparent volume of water this thing throws. I expected a fine mist but this is much more than that. It’s a good stream no matter how far away from it I am. Hoping this thing lasts a long time.***Nearly two years later and this thing is working the same as it did the day I installed it. Still happy.
Dean –
Don’t be fooled by the tininess of this product. It delivers a powerful spray. Highly recommended!
1CrazyLife4Me –
Pretty good. I do think the handle and hose version would be better though. So I highly recommend that version instead. It has great pressure, does feel like big droplets as others have stated and is super relaxing. I also love the on and off switch for when we ladies are shaving our legs. It will still run water but it is a very slight trickle instead of full force and we save a ton of water. The 1.5 GPM also saves a lot of water and in a house of 8 this really lowered our water bill. We will never use another one with a higher rating as this gets our hair perfectly clean. We have very thick hair and it is down to our waists. We love this product and highly recommend.
Judith A. Mitrowitz –
great little shower head, it’s nice that you can turn it off, soap up and turn it back on!
Vancouver Jay –
really good quality and a good drench for a 1.5 GPM shower head. It isn’t a misty type of spray, its big warm drops. I’m very pleased.
Anonymous –
This is my second purchase. Installed in kids bathroom and guest bathroom. Both performing well. I’m saving water and kids have a great performing shower head.
Amazon Customer –
love the pressure, saves water aswell
William Swartzendruber –
This has been running quite well as my primary shower head for a year now. I see no reason to replace it. The one shower head that might have been better was the Oxygenics SkinCare, but they are quite close.
Randy –
I thought I would be wishing for more water, but it pours out. I am not sure if I just have high water pressure but it puts out a good pattern to where I don’t notice it being a water saver, but I am sure it is. I may put a 5 gallon bucket in there and verify the GPMs. I would purchase this again. It is well made and not cheap.
Nathaniel Moore –
I bought two, one for each shower. They look great, compact and very clean. They replaced 2.5gpm shower heads. Frankly, they work better than the 2.5gpm shower heads. Even asked my teenage son, he agreed they do a better job of cleaning you.
Juliet –
This shower head sprays a comfortable stream of water, and the swivel offers a wide degree of freedom. It’s simple, efficient, and functional.
Joshua Alan Norcross –
I had an issue with my older showerhead clogging and becoming useless during my shower. I contacted High Sierra and addressed my concern and they were honest and told me that while their showerhead is designed to allow passage of small particulates they were not sure it would help in my case. Well, I took the chance and was wowed right away. First of all it produces the best shower I’ve had just in general, but the best part is I’ve not had a single clogged shower and I’ve had it several weeks now (I would have a clog every shower often twice a shower with my old head) tremendous product.
Eddie –
I have low water pressure and tried several showerheads- this is the best by far
plowboy –
Great replacement for a aging shower head. Couldn’t be happier when splishing and splashing around in the shower. Who knew showers could so much fun?
ann –
the product arrived on time. it’s just fine. perfect for a small shower space
BNR –
1.5 gal it is. always Gr8 shower with force.
SpDIF –
Excellent shower head. Best I’ve ever used. Another reviewer described it as a “thoroughly drenching, large droplet, spray” which is a very accurate description. It feels like you are getting a lot of water coming down on you. Very refreshing. It has also been pointed out that this nozzle has a very wide swivel range which is correct – it has a wider cone of movement than other common low-flow heads have. The 1.5 GPM feels like it is more than enough water flow. And it seems very solid and well-made. Nice machining and chrome finish.
albertaa –
When you first see this you’ll wonder how it can produce a strong, steady stream, but it does. Highly recommend. No one in the family is complaining which means they’re satisfied, and I’m saving money – win/win!
Jeremiah Edwards –
Absolutely the best shower head available. I would love it even if it weren’t water saving. In fact, I first used this in a college apartment where it was already installed, and I was surprised to find that it uses so little water and yet has such great pressure. It is also just about the only all metal shower head you will ever find.+ great pressure+ can swivel all around easily+ super solid, always clean, never leaks+ non-aerating, maintains water temp+ water savingThe only downside is that because it is water saving it takes longer for the water to warm up, so turn it on before taking your clothes off.
Crispix –
This low-flow shower head is seriously awesome. I bought one for the master bath to replace an old, plastic, low-flow shower head and the difference is striking. It does a great job of creating a big drop spray.I ended up buying a second one for the kids shower. They didn’t even have a low-flow show head before this one and they claim it feels stronger! You get what you pay for, and this is well worth the small premium over those cheap plastic shower heads. It’s a small package that has a big punch!
kdaniels –
wow this thing is amazing and helps conserve your water! add amazing water pressure also. my water bill dropped a lot when i added this to my shower!
John Hamer, Jr. –
We had been using these shower heads for several years. When we moved, one of our first purchases was to replace every showerhead in our new house with new High Sierras. They are great. They are solid and well-made. The shower you get is satisfying. I’d use these even if they didn’t save water
Aleez –
Easy to install, powerful showerhead, and it looks great too.
Paul A. Hunt –
I was hesitant at first based on the price, but this shower head delivers!
Keith G. Weinstock –
This is a well designed and constructed shower head. It is constructed of high quality materials with no plastic. It is easy to install and the sprayhead adjusts direction without the usual leakage I have observed on other similarly priced showerheads. Because of the design and construction, it will likely outlast competing shower heads which have all too much short-lived plastic. It delivers a nice medium spray but does not have an adjustable spray, so it is not for everyone. It also delivers 1.5 gpm for individuals interested in conserving water.
QUEEN B –
Awesome. I don’t write many reviews but really liked the quality of this shower head. One would never know it is a “low flow” – feels better than a “regular” one.
Donna –
Really helps to get that soap out of my hair. Thank you for making a great product in America!
Kim –
We just got this to replace a 2.0gpm head that was no longer getting the soap out of my long hair. AWESOME!!! I love that it has the trickle valve as well as the 1.8gpm. Don’t know about you ladies, but I love being able to trickle the water to soap and shave. It sure has more pressure then the others we’ve tried and returned. Very happy and will buy again.
A Person –
High quality construction and I like the flow pattern better than supposedly high flow showerheads.
Kenny M. –
Tried the lower GPM head but it was slightly too weak for my liking. This one 1.8 GPM one is perfect!
albertaa –
I rarely write reviews but after installing this shower head I felt like this deserved the effort. The shower head is small and a little wider than the width of the shower arm. It does look a little strange at first, but after your first shower you’ll totally forget about the size. I was shocked at the flow rate. It felt stronger than the inefficient shower head that it replaced. When my wife and kids first saw it they thought I was crazy, but stopped complaining after the first shower. This is very well made and engineered and should last a long time.
Victor Der –
Shower Head provides a nice firm spray at only 1.8 Gpm. Shut off valve works fine.
G. Larkin –
This isn’t a great product, turned our low flow shower into one whose “pressure” feels strong
Ken R. Churches –
This is by far the best shower head I have ever owned. Very hard to believe it is saving water since it feels so luxurious! The swivel head has great range. I highly recommend.
Amazon Customer –
Great showerhead.
GF baker –
We put a well reviewed low flow shower head in the shower. My kids complained like crazy; daughter couldn’t get her thick hair washed and rinsed. Bought this one and installed it. It is fabulous, no more complaints, hair is clean, children are happy. I really think we would have been fine with the 1.5 gallon one. Do not hesitate to make the change!
RTA – Charlotte, NC –
Very pleased with this showerhead! It has an excellent finish. I am especially pleased in that this showerhead does not aerate the water and thus the water feels noticeably warmer as compared to the typical aerated showerhead. The only downside is when using water at full flow, there is more noise then a standard showerhead. Turning down the flow rate reduces the noise.
Beverly TL –
These are perfect for the campground. Guests have conveyed that the pressure is good. This product helped reduce the amount of water used per minute. High quality product. Fast shipment.
Jimmy James –
This is a really great shower head. It’s all metal and well made. The water flow is a lot less than my Oxygenics shower head but it’s not bad enough to complain about. The spray pattern is good enough to rinse off hair and soap. To the people complaining about the water flow…it’s a low flow shower head!!!! It is made in the USA and it’s saving you money and energy from using less hot water. What more do you want? If you want more water or want to waste money just go on EBay and buy an old shower head from the 60’s. I’ve used other shower heads including the ultra low flow products from the 70’s and this one ranks right at the top. It’s better than what I expected based on the reviews. I’m saving a gallon a minute over my old shower head and without compromising shower quality. I can’t ask for more

Big fat raindrops, very forceful. Fabulous!
Matthew Storrin –
Absolutely love this shower head. Wish I had bought something like this years ago.
Jim Gott –
The best shower head I have ever owned . Not sure how it saves water with its great water pressure but it does . Not enough stars to rate this showerhead . Will never own any other shoeerheads
George Fabricatore –
The best, you won’t be disappointed. The 1.8 GPM is perfect ?
candy –
Good construction, easy installation and works well!
Juan bravo –
At first I was a little skeptical about the whole thing and thought my wife was going to hate it because she is very picky when it comes down to shower stuff but to my surprise she loves it and pocket does too. It’s worth it !!
RatherBatWDW –
Works great. It even gives you the feeling that a lot of water is being used but it only uses 1.5 gpm. I like the shut off valve saves even more water. If your trying to be more conscious of saving not only resources but money I recommend this shower head.
Avi du Jour –
This showerhead is very well made and basically constructed–which means not much can go wrong in the long haul. I like the water flow and feel and it is very effective for rinsing long hair. The trickle valve makes it even easier to save water during a shower.UPDATE: Had a wedding at my place and hosted six people over several days–many are LOOOONG shower takers, and so this device saved a lot of water!
RVN –
bought two of these and also the hand held shower head and arm. the plumbers who installed these were very impressed with the construction and weight. also got one for my contractor who is now putting them in all the homes he is remodeling. here in California, we have very strong low flow rates that we must abide by and these put out a great spray. made by a company that only use to do sprinkler products and they are great!
Gilad Rosenberg –
Tested at least two dozen shower heads and verified the gallons per minute claims by actually testing them out with a HDX 2 Gallon plastic bucket I bought at Home Depot along with a stopwatch. Most were inaccurate or just performed poorly leading to longer shower times thereby defeating entire purpose. Not this High Sierra 1.5gpm! Excellent powerful stream of water and ONLY 1.5 gpm. In some of my tests it came out slightly under 1.5 gpm! What is remarkable about this showerhead is that it feels like you are getting a 2.5 gpm flow but you are really getting 1.5 gpm. The straight design flow gives the illusion that you are getting unrestricted and unhindered flow, but unlike the other showerheads with restrictions and dozens of tiny holes that create back pressure this has none of that. Also trouble free operation with no screens or anything to clean or service.
Arissa Newton –
We got a water softener which is a must here in utah. We were pleased until the faucets starting accumulating deposits until they barely worked. Using our master bathroom shower was like being spritzed by a squirter bottle. We went through numerous shower heads until we found this one! It’s been over a month and no signs of slowing! It’s strength is perfect, made of metal and the nozzle adjusts directions. Super happy with our purchase, would buy again!
Anthony –
Solidly built. It puts out more water than I typically use, so I still have to turn the faucet down. Flow is more a continuous bombardment of large erratic drops than a stream really. It’s a little like being explosively vomited upon by a possessed iguana… those are the best words I have for it. My wife prefers the 2.5gpm waterpik and I want something lower flow because I like to stand in a hot shower and do nothing… so this is a fare compromise.
Dana Laux –
We ordered this shower head because our old one used soooooooo much water! Install was very easy and we have been using it for about a week now and are very happy with it! We have great water pressure still. Plan to buy another one for the guest bathroom in the near future.
Bones –
American-made, all metal components, works fantastic! Would buy again!
Dave O’Hern –
It doesn’t have a dozen different spray patterns or other features, but it provides great pressure in the one spray pattern I actually want and does it while only using 1.5 gallons per minute. Also, it’s 100% metal so it’s durable, unlike our last showerhead that broke after 1.5 years because one cheap plastic part snapped.
joe s –
Very strong yet soothing stream, glad to buy a quality American made product. Its all metal construction looks like it should last.
Amazon Customer –
quite lovely showers with this being used.
TeeJay –
Had to wait on a review until guests used it!Very positive results!
jjt –
Always been a fan of the lower GPM showerheads and have used many different ones over the years. Dropped the extra cash to get three of these and my entire family is happy with them. They perform as advertised, giving the “feel” of more water, when it is still just 1.5 GPM (and I checked). Highly recommend this product to anyone wanting an enjoyable shower with less cost!
Nelson H –
I have used this shower head for over 6 months, I’d recommend it to anybody who has low water pressure in their home. It is not the most stylish but it works better than anything. You will not want to shower in any other place
robin beyer –
Did not like the sound or the spray pattern my opinion only

This is a very good shower head. I was using a 2.5 gpm. classic older shower head. This new one uses slightly less water but seems to have bigger drops of spray. The quality of machining is excellent.
Cathy M. Peterson –
I love it, especially the shutoff feature, which allows soaping up and shaving without wasting water.

Very satisfied with this very low profile and low flow showerhead. The constitution of the product is solid and the range of motion is better then expected. The pressure is also a pulse without having to change anything!

I just purchased a third showerhead from this company. So now all three of our bathrooms have them! Greatly reduced our water consumption, while not compromising the water pressure! Very strong stream. We have several daughters with thick hair, and other low flow showerheads were just not strong enough to rinse off soap and shampoo. These are very strong and still somehow are conserving water! Highly recommend!!

i’m not sure if it’s really 1.5gpm.. but it made my bathroom looks more luxurious.
Weekend Warrior –
The water flow is smooth and saves lot of water. It has also increase the water flow so shower is much comfortable. Water is softer on the skin compare to 1.5 Gpm.
Bryan Dwyer –
By far the best low flow shower head I have ever used (I have gone through a couple). This conserves water and has a powerful stream. I highly recommend.

Exactly what I was looking for.The best shower head I have ever had.Love It

I purchased the High Sierra 1.8 GPM All Metal WaterSense showerhead after reading about the “Reflections” showerhead in Popular Mechanics (or maybe it was Popular Science). I’m very happy with the showerhead and have a hard time believing that it only uses 1.8 GPM. The increase in perceived water pressure is amazing! I probably could have gotten the 1.5 GPM version and still have been very pleased with the results. My only “complaint” is that it is louder than my old showerhead – if that makes sense – but it’s not really enough of a complaint to knock off any stars because my old showerhead just felt like it didn’t have any water pressure.

Not too bad considering the low flow rate. Two minor annoyances: 1) You can’t turn down the water because it starts to spit. 2) This puts out a strong blast near the shower head which isn’t comfortable for washing my face.

Lots of pressure

This shower head will not disappoint! I could see the quality as soon as I unpackaged. It’s a hunk of beautiful stainless steel (no cheap-ass pot steel). Small and simple; it has an industrial feel to it. Installation couldn’t be easier. Once installed, this head is easy to position yet, holds its place once adjusted; quite nicely. We are on a well and have “adequate” water pressure. This shower head does a great job of utilizing the water pressure. It produces a high pressure mist, kind of like a pressure washer does. The pattern is the perfect size, no stray streams, no holes.

Solid construction that works!

This thing is amazing! It works so much better than our expensive-but-worthless “Whirl Air / Rain Air” 2.5 gpm Hansgrohe shower bar, despite using only 1.5 gpm max. The pressure this thing provides is awesome (probably 3-4x what we get out of the Hansgrohe). But, even better, the droplets don’t come out in a fixed array of lines — it’s turbulent and the droplets are constantly hitting everything in the cone of water. That means that you don’t have to move around to rinse soap off — you can just stand still and it’s constantly hitting every square millimeter of your skin. It’s also sturdy, well-made, and beautiful. I’m beyond impressed. The only drawback I can see is that it’s a bit louder than our shower bar, but it’s so spectacular in every other way that I could care less.

Best shower head ever! I highly recommend it to anyone trying to save on their water bill.

Does not feel like 1.5 gpm, more like 2-3 gpm.

This was a surprisingly good purchase. The pressure is good, and due to the low flow of the showerhead, the hot water doesn’t run out. If you’re used to regular showers, this one take a little getting used to, my wife alluded to the spray as big raindrops. I tend to agree. Happy with the purchase and will likely order a second for my other bathroom.

great showerhead. It replaced a regular low flow showerhead that had pressure unsuitably low for my husband. This one left him saying FANTASTIC shower… feels like lots of water w great pressure and actually keeps water warmer. We immediately got a second for other bathroom. Cant recommend more.

Every word in the sales pitch is absolutely true! Great product.

I knew the shower head was going to be good based on everything I had read, but in fact it is truly amazing. I replaced a 2.5 GPM regular shower head with the High Sierra 1.5 GPM shower head and it felt like I had doubled the water flow. In addition the way the water comes down makes for an incredibly good shower. Can’t recommended these highly enough, these shower heads truly revolutionize showering!
pmiller510 –
Great showerhead. My wife was amazed when I told her that she was showering in 40% less water. Feels like 2.5 gal. per minute. Highly recommended.

This shower head is amazing! I would give it 10 stars if I could. The flow feels like much more than 1.8 GPM. The spray is strong but does not hurt, and it quickly removes soap, even with soft water.

I read an article that said showerheads should be replaced every 6 months as they can develop black mold inside like kids bath toys. Showerheads containing plastic are more susceptible to developing mold then all metal ones. I reluctantly replaced my Speakerman with the all metal 1.8 Sierra showerhead. I was blown away by the unique and amazing shower provided by this product. It is all metal and there is nowhere for water to collect to form mold. It puts out large water drops and the shower feels more like someone dumping warm water on you rather than the typical high powered sprayers. I so look forward to showers with this unique head…..I tell everyone they must try it!

Works great and easy to install, I recommend this shower head.

saves water and does increase the spray

Great product. Saves water and feels like you are using a lot of it.

It took five minutes to unscrew the old one and screw in this one. I have low water pressure in my home and always had weak water flow from my shower head. Not any more. This one gives me a nice, strong water flow, while using less water in the process. It must be magic… And, it is made of metal, not cheap plastic. I expect it to last a long time. Go for it, you won’t be sorry.

Great water pressure!

Simple design and effective, no “fancy” moving parts to break, all metal, made in USA. Great product. Highly recommended.

Stayed in the Fl, Keys for Valentine’s Day. The place had this showerhead. Love it.

Received the showerhead yesterday (Sunday!). It took about ten minutes to remove the old head and install the new one. I had already had my shower for the day so had to wait until this morning. Was a little apprehensive that a 1-1/2 GPM head was going to live up to the reviews I had read. It definitely does perform per the reviews. It’s hard to believe the thoroughly drenching, large droplet, spray is only 1.5 GPM. Our old shower head was installed 13 years ago as part of a bathroom remodeling. I’m sure the flow rate was at least 2.5 GPM. So saving a minimum of gallon a minute is worth every cent the High Sierra cost since we live with our own well and septic system. It is a nice looking showerhead but when compared to the multi-spray pattern monsters that get all the attention it may come up a little short in terms of appearance. In my opinion the important characteristic is not the size, shape or number of different spray patterns, it is its ability to save water while offering a single spray pattern that gives the user the satisfying feel of a lot more water, at a seemingly higher pressure, than is actually the case.

LOVE what this shower head has done for us! It’s taken the weak water pressure we have and made a strong, comfortable, effective spray. I have very thick hair and I’m so pleased with this purchase! (We bought the 1.8 GPM and it feels like a real shower, not just stinging mist like other inferior versions.) It’s not an exaggeration to say that this shower head has transformed our shower from a mediocre, frustrating one to a wonderful one. I also love the fact that this is MADE IN USA. That’s important to us and was another a factor in the decision to purchase this item. I’m hoping to give these as gifts as well.

Buying another…..I bought 2 to try out. FANTASTIC…..we have a weak well with low pressure. The pumps out plenty of pressure while saving our precious water. Getting another for the outside shower.
KW –
Love this showerhead. The shape suggests a very thin spray but the drops are super large and really soft. There is a sliding switch that controls the force of the spray.Comfortable and efficient.

Excellent savings in water usage and cost. The shower head still has great water pressure.

I wanted a low flow shower head for my upstairs bathroom. We’ve always had one in the master bath and it’s been great. But I couldn’t find the same shower head we have so I did the research and found the high Sierra. The reviews were great so I purchased one. It was an easy install and it’s been a great shower head. The pressure is excellent despite the low flow. And it does a great job getting me wet and rinsing the soap. I will buy another when needed.

We bought two of these as replacements and after 3 weeks, we can honestly say that the quality of the showerheads is awesome. They arrived in very unassuming packaging without the extra weight and volume of a typical Delta or Moen showerhead but biy, do they perform. Easy to install with some tape to prevent any future leaks. Flow is strong and wettability and coverage and pressure are all top notch. There is even a small button that turns off the flow for shampoo or soap and saves a bit more water as well. The water returns when turned on to original temp within 1-2 seconds at most. Doesnt have 20 settings and 40 dials – if you need a strong flow, full coverage showerhead that saves water, get these guys. A+++

Since water prices are going way up where I live, I decided to buy a more efficient shower head. So far I am impressed by the focused stream of hot water. It seems to warm the body better than my old shower head. It does a better job than conventional shower heads using less water. Less is more!!!
