Product Description
Rain Showers (large diameter shower heads with as many as 100 nozzles) on 90° shower arms or mounted to ceilings are trending these days. When shower head flow rates were unlimited the Rain Showers felt great and delivered an excellent shower, but they used many gallons per minute of water. Those days are over and todays severely restricted flow rates of 2.0 gpm or less are not enough water for conventional Rain Showers to work properly. The result is a weak, ineffective shower that can more appropriately be described as a "drizzle". Conventional just doesn't work any longer for today's water conservation shower heads let alone Rain Showers. Amazingly, the unconventional High Sierra patented nozzle is able to break a stream of water into a heavy downpour of large high energy droplets and is more like a true "Rain" Shower than the conventional shower heads ever were. Each Half Dome™ comes equipped with this patented nozzle and everyone agrees that the performance far exceeds all of the wimpy large diameter low flow Rain Showers available.

Very well made and easy to install my old shower head had very low pressure now it’s amazing how strong the water pressure feels.
Jessica (verified owner) –
Easy to install and well made. Husband and I both have thick hair and this is the best showerhead for us so far.
Helmuth (verified owner) –
Love the feeling of drops touching my body. With a 1.25 gpm the water saved is very good. Planning to buy 4 more.
Helmuth (verified owner) –
Excellent shower head. I like very much the sensation of being gently touched by the water drops.
Janet Wainwright (verified owner) –
It feels especially satisfying to take a shower now. Great for water conservation and it feels wonderful. Live the size and force of the water droplets.
Gary –
I’ve had my Half Dome for several years and it still works great. BUT, there is a circular piece of metal around the hole the water exits the showerhead that seems to be peeling off. It doesn’t affect the shower’s performance. I’ve bought another one for our summer house in Canada, too.

I found it difficult to find a made in USA metal showerhead in stores and the few I found were ridiculously priced. These High sierra showerheads are by far the best showerheads I’ve ever encountered both in quality and value. The droplets are noticeably more powerful and I can manually control water flow if needed.

This a terrific product! As advertised it gives a great stream of water all while using 1.25 gallons of water per minute.
The extender gets the water stream away from the wall area and makes it easier to rinse. I no longer have water splashing onto the wall. I couldn’t be happier with the product.

I fell in love with this water head because of its wonderful performance and from what I understand it decreases your water by 25% according to the gentleman I spoke to at High Sierra. It is well constructed, simple and elegant and it works beautifully. I couldn’t ask for a better water head.
Elissa –
I bought the 2.0 to replace the one in the kids bathroom. It installed as easy as they say. Took 2 minutes. The shower was pleasant and the head was easy to adjust. It rinsed my hair well and did so quickly. I didn’t notice any noise. Overall very pleased.

I have a large property and own several of these. We are on our own water and the Classic work great down to 1.5 gpm, though where we can really use the grey water to irrigate I like a 1.8 or 2.0 gpm Half Dome. We have removed all other shower-heads and migrated to the Half Dome inside and the more minimal Classic outdoors.

Love the amount of water it saves! Super easy to install. I really like how solid the showerhead feels. “This will last”, it says. The showering experience with the half dome seems like a midpoint between a soft rain shower-type head and a fixed style. I like it. I believe my wife misses the more enveloping sense of a traditional (2.5gpm) soft rain shower style head. While I’m glad we bought the trickle valve, I use it less than I expected.

I started with the half dome shower head. I love the spray, like being in the pouring rain. The only thing I had an issue with was a steady stream coming off the bottom of the dome. I called the customer service number and they had some advice. Turns out the half dome is better for a 90 degree shower arm or ceiling mount. I have a 45 degree shower arm so they sent me a classic one, no charge. It’s perfect now. Best shower head we have ever had. I might buy a second one to have a spare.

Spay is intense and feels like being caught in a strong rain storm. It is the best shower head I’ve ever had; it looks durable and will last. Probably I wont have to buy another for a long time.
Danielle –
Fantastic product! We purchased the 1.25 gpm and wished we would have purchased this product sooner.
John (verified owner) –
Heavy duty, well constructed and nice to look at. I’ve replaced every shower in the house with one of these High Sierra products.
Larry (verified owner) –
It produces a strong spray. Finish is good and it’s all metal design makes it feel like it will last a long time with no issues. Thought that it being non-adjustable would be an issue but the cone of it’s spray covers pretty well. And it is significantly louder because of the air induction but not a game breaker and it is why it makes the spray feels so strong- so an easy adjustment. All in all- a very good product.
Jeff (verified owner) –
I have the 1.25 gallon per minute, it is super awesome how it saves water but has plenty of pressure. The water does feel colder most likely due to more air added with the water. Pretty cool design!

Very Satisfied with your products, overall… Replaced one of your ‘classic’ model shower heads (basic) with a ‘Half Dome’ Rain Shower Head.
It works well, but doesn’t really provide the raindrop sensation that we’d hoped for… We also purchased an extension, which we haven’t yet installed (current plumbing logistics), which may make a difference.?.
Also, the loose swivel head doesn’t allow us to set an angle without free falling. Is it possible to tighten that?

I recently bought a 1.5 GPM showerhead and wasn’t sure how well it would work. I’m pleased to report that this thing really cranks out a good shower. I am sold!
Sandy –
I am use to a wide showerhead, so I was a bit skeptical of the small hole on this head. I bought it because i love the idea of using 1.25gpm. But it send out enough pressure and water spread. I love it.
Milton (verified owner) –
I bought one 1.25 gpm shower head to test it out. I was having a hard time believing that it would provide a satisfying shower or enough water. Well, I can happily report that it does! It’s a lot better than the 2.5 gpm shower head (not a High Sierra) that it replaced. I am ordering another one to replace the shower head in our second bathroom. In addition, it’s beautiful and beautifully made. Easy install.

Great water pattern out of shower head. I got the 2GPM and its plenty. Still saving a half gallon a minute from my old one. Good looking and made in USA to boot.

1.8GPM. We’ve got good water pressure and this showerhead provides a “just right” feel compared to other showerheads with a similar GPM. It is loud compared to competing showerheads, but it isn’t excessive.
Michael and Margaret Kennedy (verified owner) –
Fantastic! We purchased the 2.0 but I think 1.5 would have been fine. We love our High Sierra Shower Head!
Joan (verified owner) –
I’ve been using the Half Dome 1.8 GPM shower head for two weeks now. Despite being low flow, it delivers a strong spray. As described on the website, Half Dome feels solid and was easy to install. Some reviews state that it is loud; I don’t think it is at all. This Oil Rubbed Bronze shower head replaced a Delta rain fall shower head with the same finish. It matches my existing fixtures well. I am happy with my purchase, so I can recommend High Sierra sincerely.
Daniel Homeier (verified owner) –
Terrific product! Best shower head I’ve ever used.
Susan Girardin (verified owner) –
I bought this as a replacement for a large domed plastic one that was starting to clog and the nozzles were rusted. I bought the brushed nickel with stop valve option. Super easy to install. Directions are easy to follow. I heard about Sierra from Buy Direct USA.com. They advertise US made companies and their products. The stop valve is brilliant.

As advertised.

This is my third purchase of these shower heads. Love it.
Dan C. –
great products. I installed this as my rain shower head in the ceiling. i also have the handheld unit too. works great.
C. Row –
The shower head is well built and has a very nice spray pattern. I will have to see how it holds up to my very hard water. I am very happy with this purchase

It’s a perfect showerhead, solid metal, beautiful finish, flows like a summer downpour. I got the 2.0gpm model, and the flow from this showerhead DELIVERS. Made in USA, what more can you ask for?
Amazon Customer –
This review is for the 2.0 gpm model, nickel finish.Bottom line: A Keeper – the Half Dome shower head has made showers more enjoyable, and it looks great, but it is loud.I bought it to replace a well-functioning 2 gpm shower head about 4″ in diameter, with about 40 tiny nozzles. The old one just felt weak, like some sort of reduced-calories bathing experience. The Half dome came in a plain box. Mine arrived without any teflon tape (so be sure to add that to your order if you don’t have any sitting around home). The head looks and feels like a high-quality product. It threaded easily onto the shower pipe, and sealed well right from the start.Right from the start, showers were more pleasant. The water comes out of a single 1″+ hole, and feels more pleasantly natural (more variable, not just weak, steady streams) than it did from the other head. Water from the Half Dome also feels denser and warmer. It’s a shower head you will want to linger under, not just turn off as soon as you finish rinsing. For some reason, the thing is loud. It puts out the static sound of a radio tuned between AM stations. If you’re sensitive to this noise, look elsewhere. I love the thing anyway. One note: High Sierra sells a version with a trickle valve (lets you turn on/off the shower by pushing a single button on the head) that may be worth it if you want to really save water. At least give it a look.

This is the Best shower head I have ever used. I bought it to replace an old 2.5 GPM head I had used for 20 years. We updated our shower and needed to change out the head. This 2.0 GPM High Sierra head is Great. Water is not a mist, but a full large droplet and great feel. After using this one I think a 1.5 or 1.8 GPM would have been fine. All I can say is if you like a good shower–you can’t go wrong with this High Sierra Dome head. Fully Satisfied!
Amazon Customer –
Replaced an existing shower head with this product. It definitely lived up to the manufacturers advertising. Plenty of flow in comparison with the old head. Liked the spray pattern too. Would purchase again.
Steve –
I have been looking for a showerhead like this for 30 years. Looks great, perfect amount of pressure. A little pricey, but well worth it.
Stephen S. Walker –
This is an excellent product. It turned my low-medium flow shower into a fantastic, powerful downpour. The shower head is also aesthetically beautiful. Very easy to install. I highly recommend it.
Amazon Customer –
This is my third High Sierra shower head, and they all perform wonderfully. It’s the only low flow shower head I’ve found that feels like a real shower. I really like the look of the half dome. It looks a bit more like a normal shower head than their other models, although it’s still noticeably smaller than the shower head it’s replacing.
LGL –
This was a great (but initially expensive) purchase.I bought these High Sierra showerheads only because they had mostly high reviews..The first one was for our RV and was rated 1.8gpm ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07J57CN7B/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 )..It’s called the “Half Dome all metal”, but it was too heavy for the RV wall (bouncing down the road)..So, I put it in the hallway bathroom. It is impressive. The flow is nice and strong (county water at 60psi supposedly). The shower stream has much bigger droplets and the water stays hot to your feet. These things work great for my wife’s long hair—she really likes it much better than the old 2.5gpm head!.After this revelation, I bought 2 of the Sierra smaller-sized heads ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KVJJAPQ/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 )..These are the “All Metal WaterSense” and rated at 1.5gpm. One for the RV and one for our master bath..I’m keeping all 3..I wish I’d had purchased these years ago. They work much better than the $15 heads that I had been replacing every 5 years or so. And, eventually I’ll recoup the cost via saved county-water fees and by not heating as much water.
LA Dan –
Great showerhead. The water pressure is almost too much, particularly as soon as I turn it on. However, assuming this is actually 1.5 gpm, the water pressure overall is fantastic and love the showerhead.
repeata415 –
Quality product in all metal with incredible water pressure.
Amazon Customer –
Best shower head I’ve ever owned
Terry F. Koenig –
Best shower head ever. Saves water but plenty of power. I’m renting right now but will be taking this beauty with me.
Sayasoe –
This is my fourth purchase, but the first from Amazon. These shower heads save water and reduces your water consumption bill. Both the 1.5 and 1.8 gal shower heads give you a very satisfying shower. The half dome shower head is well designed and looks good in my shower, and the quality is outstanding.Highly recommended.
